We had the good fortune of connecting with Bachi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bachi, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I am in love with sharing experiences with the world.
Whether it be music ,paintings, or movies , no dollar bill amount equaled the feeling I got from experiencing something never before done.
I figured if I choose the one things I’d risk everything for , it should be that feeling and make it my job.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always stood out in many ways and I learned how to channel the ability to influence or being comfortable in the most uncomfortable situations. This allowed by music to resonate in ways that my natural story could not always reach and also helps me as a business person execute projects or close deals. I’ve had many challenges that vary from legal issues over music with friends, budget cuts from covid, failed investments, and many more losses that turned into experience. Those experiences not only allowed me to understand how to win more but help others avoid the toll I had to pay as a manager , a&R, or mentor.
That’s where “CLOSE” came from , the company is all about keeping our experiences , loved ones , and even new explorations really close to our hearts. Everyone should have a community close or the feeling of their dreams being near and dear, no matter how intense the journey seems. That’s the idea of what our brand is , finding what we are passionate about and keeping it close in the most expansive way possible. It’s a blessing to do music at this scale with the people we started with.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
At this point I’m not sure where I’m based out of because of the travel but I’ll stick with Tallahassee!

If it’s a week long trip
Here are the main things we gotta do

1. Check out a sporting match at FAMU or FSU (I’m a rattler so I’m bias)
2. If we want good eats we got to start with Earley’s Kitchen because GOOD SOULFOOD IS HARD TO FIND out here. We gotta bless our stomachs at Hobbit Sports Bar to watch some sports. Last but not least… Leon’s
3. We have to catch first Friday at railroad square and get some good art and thrifting out the way !
S/O tally vintage and savvy salvage !
4. We can cap the night with a movie because I’m obsessed with movies I’m a true cinemaddict
5. Ok we aren’t done yet gotta play basketball and go skating too.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First off God is most important. I would love to give my company/team, Close Collective, a big shoutout! Especially Kaya Youngquist and Wilshem Pennick for the work they do day in and day out to give creatives the most valuable spaces to create at the highest level. I love my family, my mom and pop, they are quite literally why I’m here in every sense of the word. So many more but I see the timer going up
