We had the good fortune of connecting with Bridget King and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bridget, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
We pride ourselves on creativity, honesty and integrity. Our Branding is personal. We make every effort to make clients feel like they are a part of a community, building on-going, long-lasting relationships. One of the keys to our success is our ability to communicate with our clients, and our collaboration with some of the best trades in the design business.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Captiva Design Interior Decorating & Home Staging has been serving the South Florida and Caribbean markets for 17 years. We specialize in Home Staging, Interior Redesign and Interior Decorating. I started this company out of a passion for design, and a love for helping people. We offer a variety of decorating services which allows us to curate home decor packages based on the needs of each individual client. “No two homes are alike”, is one of our tag lines. I am a creative. I love various forms of art, design, construction, architecture, and of course music and food. I bring a vast knowledge base to my clients because of my interest in a variety of genres. I study, and do loads of research within the design industry so that I may better serve my clients. In this business, you never stop learning. A large part of our business is Staging homes for resale. Helping my clients sell their homes using my proven home staging strategies and techniques is what we are know for. I continue to broaden my network of Realtors, and stay current on market trends within the industry. I enjoy working with home owners to create their dream spaces whether they have just purchased a new home, or want to refresh their existing home. My biggest career high would be the “Home Stager” for the HGTV Show, “All-Star Flip” featuring actress Gabrielle Union and her husband, All-Star Basketball Player, Dwyane Wade. This opportunity really challenged me to work under pressure; and not be intimated by celebrity status, while creating a beautiful Staged home for the show. I had to tell myself, that I deserved to be here, and this was my time to shine. I could not allow fear to take-over and ruin my opportunity.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Miami offers a variety of fun and exciting things to do. South Beach is a must. Who would not enjoy a beautiful day spent on the beach. Wynwood for the art, food and nightlife. Coral Gables for a tour of historic homes. Little Havana for the best Cuban food and cigars if that’s your thing. Bayside for a boat ride to see where the rich and famous live like Star Island, and Vizcaya to view the beautiful gardens and take pictures.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout-out to Audria Richmond, Author and marketing strategist of “Uncloned Marketing.” This booked helped me to fine-tune my marketing and build a stronger online presence. A great read. I would highly recommend to new and existing entrepreneur’s.
