Mr and Mrs SYLTBAR Regina Blohm: Regina was born in Hamburg and grew up in Munich. Italy is close by, so it’s no surprise that Regina fell in love with Italy and Italian cuisine. Regina has always been interested in Fashion and therefore has a deep understanding of sophisticated design. Her sense of style reflects in the carefully selected and artfully designed packaging for SYLTBAR. “Only looking beautiful is not enough!” is how Regina approaches her vision for elegant yet practical design. Regina worked in the fashion business for many years, but as an avid traveler and fine cuisine connoisseur, discovered her love for procuring high-end good for restaurants, five-star hotels and gourmet retail stores. Claus Blohm: Claus was born in Hamburg, close to Sylt. He discovered this magnificent island during his childhood and continue to enjoy it’s beauty. As an avid golfer and he played tournaments on Sylt and represented Germany around the world giving him the opportunity to explore all types of gourmet cuisines. It’s how he fell in love with Italian cuisine. Through all his travels, the number of Michelin starred restaurants on the small island of Sylt stood out to Claus. This is also where he first savored SYLTBAR San Simone Prosecco and was immediately impressed by its elegant taste and quality. Mr and Mrs started their dream in 2005 and today it is not a dream any more. It is so much more. They are committed to consistent quality for their life and others. While you won’t find a typical wine story, you will find a true love story with so much passion. Claus and Regina tasted their favorite Prosecco from Italy 30 years ago independently on different occasions on the island Sylt located in the North Sea of Germany. The logo which you find on all of the bottles is the shape of the island Sylt. The shape of the Island Sylt represented in our SYLTBAR logo, SYLT is one of the destinations in the famous book titled “1000 places to see before you die”. They know everybody thinks Mr and Mrs have met on this beautiful island enjoying a glass of SYLTBAR together and that it was love at first sight. But the true story is totally different. Listen to the Mr and Mrs SYLTBAR podcast coming soon.
