We had the good fortune of connecting with Cocahontas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cocahontas, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I feel as if your very passionate about somethings like you feel that fire within yourself for something by all means chase after that passion. Keep going till you achieve that goal. You will know whether to keep going or give up because if you back out of something for whatever reason and that fire starts to ignite within you again that’s when you would know to keep trying after whatever it is that’s your chasing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is that besides music I’m definitely all about business. So soon you may see me doing podcast’s, interviews or even releasing apparel so you never know what to expect. I’m very proud of how far I’ve came after overcoming a obstacle that was put in my way. We learn lessons from life everyday as every second passes. We just have to learn how to stay balance through whatever it is. Don’t let it hinder us from going to the next level. I can say with the help of life and the universe everything aligned me to my manager. And since then things have been sky rocketing. The lessons I’ve learned along the way was to always keep family close no matter what. And also stay authentic be true to you and others. We were made differently for a reason. We all are rare in our own way why not brag about the uniqueness? I do want the world to know you guys will be seeing me very soon. I can’t wait to see how much of an impact I will have on millions of people.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you were to ever come hang with me and you not from my city I can say the number one spot to go hit in the morning for a good southern breakfast would be ivory’s in sixtrunk. And it’s a must we go hit Fort Lauderdale beach meditate and pray before we get our day started. If it’s a good Saturday afternoon we have to go hang and catch a vibe at ghostbar. And I can say it’s a lounge so it has great music, extravagant view of the hardrock guitar and how can I forget the bomb food ! Also if you want to just do something light we can visit museums in Miami or go to like a smash room or event rent a boat for a couple hours and ride jet skis. It’s so much to do in my city it’s hard to choose lol.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shot out to kano he has been one of the biggest blessings thus far in my life. . If he had any knowledge that need to get by me, he would drop little gems on me. And also he’s like a second male figure in my life that I look up to. if loyalty could be a person it would definitely be him. And also I want to give a shot out to the lyon house family. Big things this year !
