We had the good fortune of connecting with °Cool Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi °Cool, why did you pursue a creative career?
Creativity has always naturally been apart of who I am. I’ve been an artist since age 3. From drawing to music to merch. I always knew the creative life was for me. I think I was pursuing it before I even realized that I was. I’m always myself wherever I go, regardless, but being an artist, being creative, is me in my purest form.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve only gotten this far by the sheer determination to keep going. Nah, it wasn’t easy either. Still isn’t. The only way to overcome the challenges is to let nothing stop you. I’ve slowed down and I’ve even pressed pause for moments at a time but I always get back to it. I’ve learned a lot of lessons like to always absorb whatever knowledge you can. I’ve also learned that there aren’t many people you can count on in business as well as life. I just want the world to experience my art. To relate to that hunger, that passion to do what you love.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I know some good food spot in my city. Koco’s Pub is one of my favorite places to eat. Northeast Market, Blue Agave, 2am Project, etc. Regularly, I don’t really hang out as much but for my dawg, I’d try to make sure I have a show scheduled so they could see me perform, take them to the Inner Harbor to chill by the water and around the neighborhoods to see family, take them to the Game On Arcade & Bar and likely end the week with a home-cooked meal and probably PS5 or hoop. Baltimore is a very interesting place with a lot interesting people. Just explore the city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The only person that comes to mind is Ray aka Fame. That’s been my nigga since middle school. It was in his mama’s basement where I start recording music to put out. He’s interviewed me before and directed most of the music video that I currently have. And the man does more than that. I couldn’t tell my story without him in it.
