We had the good fortune of connecting with Daenne Dolce, MBA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daenne, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
At the beginning of my journey, I did not know what balance was. I was always working nonstop. I didn’t realize how unhealthy it was until it took a toll on me physically. I suffered from extreme exhaustion and I was put on bed rest. From then, I realized that my well-being is more important than any business. I didn’t stop working completely, but I started to have more of a balanced life. I made time for self-care and I couldn’t be any happier.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a writer, somedays it is easy to write and somedays you simply do not want to. It is very challenging to set aside time to think. As writers, we really think differently. Sometimes ideas may come up at the most unexpected places. I have learned to put my writing first even when I don’t feel like it. Daenne’s Journal is there to uplift others and learn about the love of Jesus. My prayer is always that anyone that reads feel uplifted and loved.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love so many places in Miami!
I would definitely take them to Bayside for a boat ride followed by lunch or dinner.
I would take them to an art walk in wynwood.
I would definitely take them to Rusty Pelican, the view there is gorgeous.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am so grateful for God. He has kept me going since I started this journey. He has also put amazing individuals in my life. My faith family is a group I can’t imagine my life without.
