We had the good fortune of connecting with Dana Stone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dana, how do you think about risk?
When I think of who I am I wouldn’t call myself a risk taker. I am a petite woman and I often, in jest, call myself a delicate flower. Physically, I tend to play it safe.

Though, when I reflect on my life I have taken many life changing risks in my career and personal life. Risks that others might call foolish. The benefits and the disappointments I have experienced from my risky decisions have given me the most growth, expansion and unimaginable joy.

When I was 27 I left my marriage with a wonderful, kind and “safe” man. People thought I was crazy to make such a risky move and told me that I should stay. They would ask, “Why would you leave such a great person?” The relationship was missing a deep connection and the thought of spending my life with him left me feeling trapped.

I spent many years moving from one relationship to another. Even though, there were many disappointing relationships I never once thought “I should have stayed married.” Those relationships showed me how I needed to focus on the most important relationship which is with myself. I would have never received that lessons and developed an incredible self love had I not been shown to go inward.

I am not saying leave your spouse! Many times you can create the relationship you long for with your spouse if you have the right tools.

After a 20 year successful career in the jewelry industry, I left a prestigious position. Yes, I just left it no backup job in place. I had to for my health and self esteem. I had experienced a series of bullying and irresponsible managers. And I was done! People said, “don’t leave a job until you have another job.” But I was too burned out and wanted a new career.

Again, I am not saying leave your job! If you are unsatisfied there is a way, with the right tools, to create satisfaction or attract something better.

Though years of studying transformational principles and self development I knew I wanted to become a life coach. I love helping people! I went through a 2 year certification with the top coaches in the industry. The investments I made with my time and money really stretched me. I had to learn to trust myself and to trust that I have the ability to create a new empowered life for myself. Working with a coach was essential in shifting my limiting belief system.

Not only has my life been transformed by my stepping out of my comfort zone and taking risks, but I have transformed the lives of hundreds of clients from around the world. I am able to empower others to remove the hidden blocks to their success and restore their unstoppable inner confidence.

In my experience most people tend to play it safe. They are afraid to step out of their comfort zone. Not only are we taught that, but we are also biologically programed to remain safe and avoid change.

One small risk, one small uncomfortable step can completely change the direction of your life. Having a support system is crucial to speeding up that process. The growth, expansion, confidence and joy are the rewards of taking small or large risky steps toward your dreams.

What should our readers know about your business?
I was at the top of a 20 year career in the jewelry industry. Yet, I was terribly unhappy there. I had a prestigious job. Everything looked great from the outside. But on the inside, it was a different story.

My managers unappreciated their team and they often bullied their staff. It was an unhealthy environment that didn’t bring out my talents and nor foster a creativity.

Even after we had a $850,000 sale, my boss wasn’t satisfied. She was always saying what are you selling next week?

After work, I would feel exhausted and frustrated. My friends were telling me “You have changed since you started working there. You aren’t as much fun.” My heart would sink when I heard that, but I knew they were right.

I was really torn because this was my dream job and I was making 6 figures. But the unhealthy environment was so stressful my health was starting to suffer.

I had a final straw moment and I took the leap and left that position. I was scared because I didn’t know what was next, but I felt so relieved. I am so grateful that I did!

Sometimes in our life we are guided to the right path that leads us to our perfect future.

I had been a student of transformation and self-development for many years.

Through having a coach and investing in myself, my outlook on life changed. I invested way more than I was comfortable with and it really stretched me. However the results were worth it… I no longer felt powerless. I felt empowered and realized I had the power to quantum leap my dreams.

Because I started to see quick positive changes, I wanted others to experience what had helped me, so I started to coach and teach. I was in awe of the results my clients were getting. I thought -this stuff really works!

I am so happy and grateful because I get to watch my clients have the breakthroughs and quantum leaps they have been dreaming about.

You don’t have to stay stuck or settle for less then you want. We are all here to share our gifts and expand in our lives. There is a definite pathway to living a life of your dreams.

I use several different methods for helping my clients create their dream life. I always see my clients in their power, never their problems!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Favorite weekend activities in South Florida include a boat ride along the intracoastal. Stopping at my favorite place for lunch Guanabanas in Jupiter. In the evening heading into Palm Beach for a fun time with eclectic food at Buccan and then to HFM for a drink.
Then next day a nice long walk on the beach and then relaxing a bit on the beach.
Visiting the Flagler museum for a tour and tea.
I love to heading to Miami spending time shopping on Lincoln road and then have dinner at Nobu. Definitely dancing!
