We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Fiorda and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
i am a -natural- , inclined to music and visual art from my childhood. with a creative family ,specially my father.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others: I am dedicated to my art process & experiences and that makes me happy. How did you get to where you are today professionally: keeping a fresh approach to life and never get anything personal. not rush, everything will come in the right time, Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? : I found a great way to overcome obstacles by putting in to practice a spiritual /emotional workout, -to look with in myself, meditate, and look at my inner child, to come back to the beginning if necessary and always have fun in the process. What do you want the world to know about you? : the spirit of never give up!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Where would you take them? : Art district of Wynnwood, the hide gems and the connection with the inner city. i am a dedicated visual artist, meaning seclusion lifestyle is my “normal” . I will prefer to cook and prepare something special from my friend in my home. but all the eco/outdoor places in Miami , are special for me . riding bicycle or mountain bike – kayaking at Oleta river park is essential . Redland market in Homestead, Tacos and Grilled corn!!! yumi!!
some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people: Good Peoples, specially if they are creating value in society. places or things to check out? : outdoor national parks, old local restaurants.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Organization: 1- art opportunities ,studio space, and relationships with other artists . my best experience in the old “Art center south florida in Lincoln road , back in the 90s . 2- book : Reaching Beyond: Improvisations on Jazz, Buddhism, and a Joyful Life
