Meet Daniela Caramelera | Artist, Designer, Entrepreneur, Painter.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniela Caramelera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniela, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born in Bogotá, Colombia. As an immigrant you leave everything behind, and surrender to the unknown in witch you have to change the form and shape you had been though to be. Starting from cero, brought me the opportunity to become self-aware and realize a deepest state of being. I create and explore based on that wonderful perspective that anything is possible, and we are co-creators of our own reality.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In Dasein Design we create a space for the being for self expression. Is not easy to take all the stereotypes and layers of society and get naked on vast reality of existence. In order to open the door of perspective we have to play with our surroundings, our silk scarfs have million ways to wear it, use it and ways to carry on. A scarf can represent a flag or a symbol. In Dasein Design we create on the image of mother nature, that carry us and give us the earth, we call home. To venerate and learn from nature is our duty, our mission is to align with the cosmic arena and co-create in light. Life is a beautiful gift, life is a wild ride that we are here to experience.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend from Colombia come to visit me next year, I will show her around the town Vero Beach, Florida is a quiet area, where the people is deeply connected with the ocean and the oak trees that surrender. I will also drive he all the way to Rock Springs early in the morning, and get some home made sandwiches to eat on the way. and-other place I will take my best friend is ChoZen Retreat in Sebastian Florida, lagoon systems. Here we invite our global community across diverse disciplines and backgrounds to collaborate, cross-pollinate and share their unique skillsets, knowledge and wisdom with us.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The master is everywhere, we just need to have the eye see. My family had been my biggest mirror and source of understanding of who I am. The people that I had cross paths with have always brings me inspiration and love, people that you can call friends and make you laugh and be free with. If I have to say names, I would refer to my favorite artist, like Rosalía, Monet, Miguel Angel, Rene Magritte, Carl Sagan.
