We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Logan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
staying true to myself is key. Staying true to my values, my intention, and objectives, and never losing sight of what matters to me the most. My family & my brand!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a freelance wardrobe stylist, but I like to dibble in other things too. I’m also a full time mom and visual merchandiser for H&M. Style has been deep rooted into my life as a youngin, bc my mom just knew! She always kept us some fly gear! & I loved how clothes & sneakers made me feel. “You look good, you feel good.” Right?From there, I just knew fashion was my purpose.

Being a stylist comes with a lot of trial and error, mostly figuring out what works for you. How to score clients, networking, building your portfolio..getting yourself out there you know? Takes alot of consistency, and homework. Especially living in a small city, it’s extra work! As for me, I just put in the work, and built great relationships overtime with other creatives that have helped me along the way. The challenge comes in when I have to balance being a ft mom, and work a ft job, create, and try to maintain and balance real life ish. But, i look at the glass as half full.. and kick it into gear.

My circle of friends and family got me to where I am today, honest. They’ve all inspired my journey. And, of course my hard work and drive to not stop, no matter how uninspired I might feel at the time, or how tiring this shit can be at times.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way, is that you gotta have some balls in this industry. You’re gonna get some NO’s,
It’s just how you take that no and flip it to YES. And, not letting that steer you away from the holy grail! And, most importantly stay authentic, you have to be at the wheel of your brand, think of it as your ride lol. Customize it, tweak it, hell.. put some rims on it, make it you! Because, at the end of the day everyone is doing the same shit right? its just how you go about doing it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m still fairly new in Louisville, Ky. So, I’ll take them to my favorite sushi spot Sapporo. Then maybe hit a few stores on Bardstown rd, that’s where all the hot thrift joints be, (that I know of anyway!) & more than likely hang back out my crib and politic with some wine & music! I just really like to chill for the most part.

my family 1st and foremost. they have been my biggest support system! & have always kept me inspired.
