We had the good fortune of connecting with Darlene Streit and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darlene, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
I like the refer to the Three C’s. Commitment, Communication and Confidence. I think these attributes are what have made me so successful. I am especially aware of my quick and clear communication. I pride myself on getting right back to people. I think it is so very important to keep people informed through out the process. For me Real Estate goes on and on but for a particular Buyer or Seller it is a very concentrated period of time and it is important to keep everyone informed every step of the way. I also have a a great deal of confidence in my knowledge and ability that comes from my many years of experience and thousands of transactions. I live Real Estate 24/7. I believe there is not other way to do Real Estate successfully than 100% commitment.

What should our readers know about your business?
As I have said I am very big on communication. I pride my self on fast and efficient communication. I have consistently been one of the top Brokers in the country and last year I was number one in Sotheby’s International Realty in the nation. I am very proud of this fact. My success has taken a lot of hard work. There is no time off in real estate the customers never stop thinking about the transaction for short period of time it takes to buy or sell a house and I never stop either. I feel we owe it to the customers to remain dedicated to them throughout the transaction. I have a very creative mind and I have extensively studied Art in New York, London and Rome. This background in creativity also helps me with creative problem solving that is required in almost all successful real estate Transactions.

I have moved over to Corcoran in Palm Beach and I am very happy with the move to Corcoran. Corcoran is the market leader in Palm Beach. I am focusing on all of South Florida but particularly Palm Beach and the Equestrian Community of Wellington.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would first bring them to Polo in Wellington on a Sunday in Season. I love watching Polo it is so dynamic and exciting. There is always Brunch at the National Polo Center in Wellington prior to the Polo Game. Then there are the many equestrian events to watch in Wellington in Season.

Dining in Palm Beach is always so much fun with such variety and so many excellent restaurant choices. Some of my favorite place to dine in Palm Beach are Renatos, Le Bilboquet, The Four Season’s Restaurant on the ocean, Taboo, St. Ambrose, The Brazilian Court and Cafe Flora to name one for each day of the week.

I love going to the ocean and just sitting and watching the waves come and go. The Lake Trail in Palm Beach is a great place to ride a bike along the intracoastal waterway.

Canoeing on the Loxahatchee River at River Bend Park is great fun and a good way to see so much natural wildlife. Also Airboating in the Everglades swamp is a fun day outing.

The Palm Beach Par three has a great restaurant and is place to go for a short round of golf along the ocean.

Not to be missed is the shopping that Palm Beach has to offer both on Worth Avenue and at the Royal Poinciana Plaza among other places.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Husband, Tommy Gardner and my Marketing Director Tony D’Agostino. These two combined with my excellent staff and amazing Buyers and Sellers. The volume that I produce year over year is not possible with out a lot of support behind the scenes. I am the face but I have a great deal of support from my husband who puts up with never end phone calls and stressful moments trying to work out the finer points of every deal. Tony does all of my marketing and creates the branding and imaging that is so powerful for all of my Sellers and their properties. Tony’s expert guidance and skills at making me look good out in the public combined with my husband’s never ending patience and guidance are invaluable.
