We had the good fortune of connecting with Dashia Trowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dashia, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
I have learned a few important lessons, but one that resonates is to never give up. My career path has been met with challenges, but I always knew that I had to keep going. Bank on yourself. Keep going, and never give up.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your firm? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets your practice apart from others?
I am the managing partner of The Trowers Law Firm, P.A., a boutique law firm located in Wellington, Florida, Palm Beach County, Florida.
I run a general civil litigation practice with an emphasis on family law matters, representing people in divorce, child support, child custody and paternity matters. My firm prides itself on using a more, collaborative approach to these very sensitive cases.
The practice of law is challenging, much less, running your own practice, but thankfully, I have always had great mentors throughout my legal career, whose input has been invaluable. During my tenure, I have learned many lessons, but the most important lesson is to be persistent, and to never give up.
Because there were many people who took the time to mentor me, I realize that it is my duty to do the same, and I take pride in doing so.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ginger Bay Cafe, in downtown, Hollywood, for great Jamaican cuisine and live reggae music, the beach in Fort Lauderdale and a spa day at Eau in Palm Beach.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents always emphasized the importance of having an education. That was the most important thing in my household, while growing up. So I would like to shoutout my parents.
