We had the good fortune of connecting with Diego Errea and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diego, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Forward thinking. There is not reason to dwell on mistakes or the past. Learn form them and move forward. Fast!

Engaging in emotional intelligence. Putting the effort to communicate with your team, knowing what they are going through.

What should our readers know about your business?
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, my team and I were the staff who would register you at sports games, help you find your seats in theaters, provide product information at professional conferences, etc. When the pandemic hit, we lost ALL our contracts for events and programs for the foreseeable future. During the initial lockdown, we at PPL Events, Inc hunkered down and thought hard about what they could do to help reopen safely and responsibly. We knew we needed to treat the ongoing hazardous environment as an experience. We needed to actively educate staff, the public and reinforce COVID-19 spread-minimizing policies and procedures. We needed to develop and apply these protocols to EVERY operation.

What ensued was a monumental pivot of our services. We developed trainings and implemented programs for COVID Compliance Officers throughout the U.S. We were the first to have these services during a time when inconsistency was the norm. Our programs has helped communities keep safe during a time of uncertainty. Our programs have been recognized by industry leaders. Our programs have been written about in Forbes, Eater, and the Staffing Success Magazine; and we have also received the American Staffing Association’s Elevate Award in 2021 for the most innovative workforce programs in the country. We have proven, ongoing operations helping clients operate safely and remain in compliance. It is through this daily application of thorough policies and procedures we have methodically worked out operating within this hazardous environment.

Ultimately, we at PPL Events, Inc have developed an innovative program to methodically manage reopening by helping those who need guidance. We have successfully trained over 1000 staff as COVID Compliance Officers nationwide to help get us out of the pandemic faster and keep our communities safe. Our drive and determination to do what is right will continue to carry us at PPL Events, Inc. to greater achievements.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Little Havana, Little Haiti, Doral, Sunny Isles Beach. Why, do you ask? to show the diversity of Miami; to show them the melting pot of cultures and ideas that it is.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my father. He has been a constant support to my development and career. He has shown me unwavering love and encouragement to achieve high goals within my own company.
