We had the good fortune of connecting with Dmitry Orel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dmitry, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Consistency, clarity, and curiosity, those are the habits that have shaped everything I’ve built.

I wake up early, reflect often, and ask questions constantly. I’ve learned that success isn’t about massive moments – it’s about micro-decisions made daily with discipline and intention. Whether I’m scaling an AI-driven tech platform or reimagining the coffee shop experience, I make it a habit to stay grounded in user feedback, trust my team, and remain close to execution.
I also journal and review progress regularly. That habit has helped me zoom out when needed and catch blind spots before they become setbacks. Curiosity keeps me learning, and consistency keeps me building, no matter the industry or challenge.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’ve never approached business as just business. For me, it’s always been about solving meaningful problems, building teams I believe in, and creating products and experiences that genuinely make life better. My journey hasn’t followed a straight line, I’ve launched startups, led product teams, reimagined service industries, and invested across multiple verticals including AI, logistics, wellness, hospitality, and consumer tech.

What sets my work apart is the mindset: I treat every project like a system that can be optimized through empathy, data, and creative intuition. Whether it’s scaling Clearly, refining MoveMatch, or launching a unique coffee concept in Miami, I operate with an obsession for detail and a long-term view. I’m not just chasing trends, I’m looking for structural advantages and deep customer connection.

Was it easy? Not at all. I’ve built through wartime relocation, market pivots, and product failures. But those moments taught me resilience, clarity under pressure, and the power of moving forward with integrity.

What I want the world to know: You don’t need to choose one path. You can be a product strategist, investor, operator, and dreamer, if you’re willing to do the work, stay curious, and surround yourself with people who raise the bar.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d give them a true Fort Lauderdale experience – sun, water, seafood, and unforgettable views.

We’d start by renting a pontoon near Las Olas, then cruise through the canals toward one of the iconic sand bars for some fun in the sun. From there, we’d head out into the open ocean for a swim in the clear blue water and maybe even a little scuba or snorkeling. It’s hard to beat that feeling of total freedom and immersion in nature.

As the sun begins to set, we’d head back inland to Southport Raw Bar, one of the oldest and most authentic seafood spots in Fort Lauderdale. There’s nothing like fresh oysters and cold drinks after a day on the water.

On the way back, we’d swing by 15th Street Fisheries to feed the tarpons, a tradition that never gets old. Then we’d cruise slowly back toward downtown, watching the skyline light up and the reflections dance off the water. That golden hour glow against the high-rises is pure magic.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many people who’ve helped shape my path, but I want to dedicate this shoutout to my family, whose resilience, love, and belief in me made everything possible.

A special thanks to my daughters, who remind me every day what I’m building for, and why it matters. Their curiosity and creativity are constant sources of inspiration.

I’m also grateful to the mentors, partners, and friends I’ve crossed paths with, especially those who challenged my thinking and pushed me beyond comfort. You know who you are.

And finally, to the Ukrainian spirit that shaped me: adaptable, persistent, and deeply rooted in purpose. That mindset drives everything I do.
