We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Ferrandis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
One of the values on which my business is based is to bring wellness to the community. Help, specially women, who go through complicated situations to find a better way to carry their days, reducing stress and anxiety, and releasing the past and negative emotions to give way to well-being and living with joy and in a positive way.
What should our readers know about your business?
My classes differ from others, because I am not only focused on the asanas, but also on the awakening of living consciously, and on providing relaxation and well-being to each of the students.
For this reason, I merged the pronunciation of motivating phrases during practice, aromatherapy with my line of essential oils, reiki and deep relaxation in a method called Shanti Yoga Flow by restorative and relaxing benefits of this ancient practice.
After 2 years of hard learning, enormous challenges and a lot of discipline, I have reached a point, where my business is still growing.
It has not been easy, to be an entrepreneur is a journey that requires passion, character, focus, discipline and self knowledge.
I have overcome each challenge mainly by re-educating my mind, being aware of how I think, how I talk to myself and with whom I share my time.
These 3 factors have contributed one 100% to having the right attitude to keep me focused on the goal and setting aside what does not help me achieve my goals.
Another very important factor in the development of Shanti Yoga Flow was finding very well trained and professional mentors who accompany me every step I took towards my goal.
The lessons learned so far have been many. Some of the most relevant are the importance of being assertive and setting limits, being connected with people and activities with the same interests as me, putting aside the opinion of others, preserving my authenticity and essence, and learning to ask for help instead of wanting to do it all alone raising levels of distress unnecessarily.
I want to take share the benefits of yoga and holistic healing with every possible corner of the world. For all to understand this is the most benevolent and loving healing way that a human being can choose to have a life far from suffering. In addition to the self-knowledge that all these tools promote, giving a meaning to life with a more consistent perspective where the mind, body, emotions and spirit remain connected and granting everyone an immense state of inner peace and well-being in every aspect of their lives.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, my best friend usually has the same interests as me. So, I would start each day with a meditation and a yoga class, then we would have a very healthy breakfast, with fruits, toast with avocado and natural orange juice and te or latte. Then, I would like take her to the beach, with those crystal clear and spectacular waters of Miami beach where we would share the day, bathing in the oceans healing water. Then, we would go eat healthy, refreshing salads, maybe sushi or seafood. Of course, a walk through the creative and emblematic Wynwood area where art manifests itself in a brilliant and magical way, or perhaps a bike ride along Fort Lauderdale or Ocean drive boulevard, and enjoy the diverse contrasts of music, people and cultures.
We could also maybe go to the Miami Zoo, one of the most beautiful attractions in this city. But, definitely the itinerary would be based on yoga, spirituality, beaches, nature, walks where art is explicit, rich in nutritional and healthy meals, good music, and outdoor activities.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am very grateful, above all, to each one of those who crossed my path with the sole purpose of strengthening me and being teachers in my evolution. To my children, who have been my number one cheerleaders. To my family, who despite the distance, always show their signs of support and unconditional love. And, of course, to ME, for the discipline, and the passion to help others and the unwavering dedication day by day to drive each project forward.
