Hi Fancy, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Miami Florida, born to Haitian parents. I was raised by two of the strongest women, my mother and grandma. My upbringing definitely impacted the person that I am today! I was back and forth being raised by my mom and my grandma with no father figure around. I watch both women play both roles in my life but individually they taught me two major important things to know about life. My mom taught me survival by any means, My grandma Show me an example of being an independent women working hard for hers! Today I am the product of where I came from and what I strive to be is not just surviving in this world but working hard at something that I love to build for the future And to be successful.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is my custom closure wig units! Everything about making these units is my expression of beauty in art form. Especially when doing different hairstyles. When the unit is completed the end results are fulfilling. I’ve been making custom wig units for like 3 years and I am very proud of my work. For a short time frame I learned a lot And got good at it pretty fast! The outstanding feedback I get from people, and my clients amazes me! My biggest compliment I get from people is that I’m the “GOAT”! That speaks volumes to me and that is what I inspire to be one day is one of the greatest of all time! It’s not an easy road to get to the level of being one of the greats especially having my own business. I face a lot of challenges and the way I overcome them is by taking it one step at a time and educating myself to be better. I’ve learned in business its ups and downs and that’s ok I just grind harder every time. What sets me apart from others, is my passion, the love that I have for what I do, and it shows through my work. My brand is Crown by Fancy, Its a creation of custom crown wig units for all queens to enhance their beauties, their confidence, and to have an easy ready to go hairstyle for women on the go!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There’s only one thing in Miami to me that’s guaranteed excitement is the yacht life! Cruising along the ocean, nice weather, and beautiful scenery of the Miami city. All you need is friends, family, music, food, and drinks for a good time. To me that beats going to any bar, club, or restaurant.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shout to my life partner Sony Noel for gifting me a start up kit that I needed to pursue my purpose leading up to having my own business.
