We had the good fortune of connecting with Fidelia Bonilla and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Fidelia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting Magi’s Infusions was driven by my desire to blend my extensive experience in healthcare with my passion for helping others. Having worked my way up from a waitress to various roles in patient care, I saw firsthand the positive impact that personalized, compassionate healthcare can have on patients’ lives. As a chronic asthma patient, I also understood the importance of accessible, affordsble, and effective treatments.
Magi’s Infusions was born out of this blend of professional experience and personal insight. I wanted to create a business that not only offers high-quality healthcare services but also understands and addresses the unique needs of each patient. My journey from El Salvador and my experiences as a mother further fueled my determination to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for both my staff and clients.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career has been a journey marked by perseverance, growth, and a deep commitment to healthcare. I started as a waitress, a job that taught me valuable lessons about hard work, patience, and customer service. My interest in healthcare led me to become a patient care assistant, where I discovered my passion for caring for others.
From there, I advanced to a unit secretary and later to a nurse, roles that allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of patient care and the healthcare system. Working in these diverse roles provided me with a unique perspective on the needs and challenges faced by patients and healthcare professionals alike.
Starting Magi’s Infusions wasn’t easy. As an immigrant from El Salvador, I faced cultural and language barriers, but these challenges only strengthened my resolve. Balancing my career with motherhood also required a great deal of resilience and time management. However, my determination to provide a better life for my family and to make a positive impact in the healthcare field kept me going.
One of the lessons I’ve learned along the way is the importance of empathy and personalized care. Each patient has a unique story and set of needs, and understanding this is crucial in providing effective care. Another key lesson is the value of continuous learning and adaptation. The healthcare industry is constantly evolving, and staying informed about the latest advancements and best practices is essential.
What sets Magi’s Infusions apart is our commitment to compassionate, personalized care. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment for both our clients and our team. My story and my brand are built on the principles of resilience, empathy, and dedication to improving the lives of others.I want the world to know that Magi’s Infusions is not just a business, but a reflection of my journey and values. We are here to make a difference in the lives of our patients, providing them with the highest quality care and support.”
