We had the good fortune of connecting with Frank Moreno and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Frank, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The concept of launching Creative Alchemy Group was the culmination of a plethora of experiences coming together. Having worked in event production, spirits marketing, and education led to the launch of my company. Starting with producing experiential events based around spirits and cocktails was a natural fit. Along the way I also produced culinary and art focused events. Then, moving into the world of marketing for spirit and tobacco brands has been an amazing experience. Finally launching Mezcal Carta de Amor, a small-batch single varietal Mezcal from Oaxaca, has become part of the journey. It is never easy making the decision to go into the world with your own business, but there is a certain level of accomplishment that comes from finding the right industry that you choose to put your passion into.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am always excited to discuss how broad my brand is, and the different areas it deals in. Right now I am focused on Spirits and Tobacco, my experiences and partnerships has allowed me to focus on launching brands and strategies to help brands exist in the world. The term “Alchemy” means any magical power/process of transmuting a common substance, usually of little value, into a substance of great value. Creative Alchemy is just that – the power to create and transform.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many great places in Miami to visit that it is almost impossible to capture it all, even in a week. Here are my top spots:

Food & Cocktails: Cafe La Trova (Best Cuban experience around – food, cocktails, & music.)

Cocktails: Sweet Liberty, Broken Shaker, Jaguar Sun are super legit in their dedication to the craft of cocktails.

Food: El Mago de las Fritas (Fritas), Sanguich (Cuban Sandwich), Papo Llega y Pon (Pan con Lechon), El Palacio de Los Jugos (varied food and tropical juices), Mary’s Coin Laundry (late night croquetas), Finka Table & Tap (best creative fusion cuisine)

Local Bar: Better Days, Tobacco Road by Kush, Gramps

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are too many people to Shoutout that have supported my efforts along the way and through the years. One special shoutout goes to fellow entrepreneur Rob Amato from Lost Laundry Apparel for the support and encouragement.
