We had the good fortune of connecting with Fredner Frederic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fredner, how do you think about risk?
Well when it comes to taking risk I believe it plays a major role in business because everything is a gamble it’s all about what kind of risk are you taking and does it make sense to you overall and honestly that have played a major role in my career as an entrepreneur and where I am today I only take risk with some type of leverage which I study everything around the risk that I’m about to take just to make sure my chances are higher than the average.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Well I’ve invested in a Cargo Ship company at the age of 20 which the business have took many hits but I believe that it will get better and being patient and not pulling out what I invested in the company have put me in best position of my life to capitalize off the loses because I continue to gamble by pouring money in the company even during the hard times when we was losing but because of that I’ve put myself in position to now own 50% of the company and now the company is back in the green and running smoothly which now we own 4 cargo ships now which ships to different parts of the Caribbean ,with my returns on my investment I started to reinvest those funds and branch out and open a shipping company which I own 100% which I broker all the deals that’s go through the Cargo Ship which I own 50% of as well as to investing in a Bodyshop and Jewelry store in Miami, Property in Santo Domingo,Dominican Republic, as well as opening a lounge in Port Au Paix, Haiti which I’ve open 5 months ago and also in the process of opening an investment company, but I can honestly say it wasn’t an easy path at all it comes with sleepless nights and being real patient even when things are falling apart if you believe then you’ll hold on for the greater things that lie in the future, the lessons I’ve learn along the way is to believe in yourself even when nobody else does because at the end of the day you’ll be the one losing out..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I would definitely take them out on the beach because it’s nothing like being on a yacht in a city like Miami which have everything from the beaches, the weather and the view, but when it comes to dining Red south beach is definitely one of my favorite restaurants and it’s plenty more to choose from.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well honestly I’ve spent a lot of time reading Warren Buffet books so I would have to give it to him and not because he is my idol but because of the strategy that he uses when investing in companies and he’s ways have inspired me a lot because we also have a lot in common as far as the route that we chooses to get where we’re trying to go, upon reading the intelligent investor by Benjamin Graham which I notice that’s exactly how I went about my way of investing which was also read by Mr..Buffet himself.
