Meet Gherald Alaman | The Creative Entrepreneur | Actor & Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gherald Alaman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gherald, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Aspiration Through Artistry: The Creative Journey
I entered the artistic realm not just for acknowledgment, but to claim my space and command the narrative. This journey quickly became a crucible for personal mastery, systematically conquering self-doubt and forging an unshakable core of confidence that empowers me to connect authentically with any audience. I thrive alongside fellow creators, embracing the intellectual rigor of complex characters and appreciating the intricate collaborative artistry of filmmaking. My highest purpose is leveraging this powerful medium for impactful storytelling—sharing vital messages that shape cultural dialogues. I encourage anyone seeking recognition, community, and unwavering confidence to step onto their own creative stage; it is the clearest route to self-acceptance and aspirational influence.

Artistic Vision and Professional Mastery: My Story
My art is defined not by a single performance, but by the powerful convergence of creativity and strategy. As an Actor & Business Entrepreneur, what truly sets me apart is an unwavering commitment to mastery through comprehensive knowledge. I didn’t wait for success; I actively pursued an education in the entire ecosystem of entertainment, a journey I call “paying my dues.”
The Journey of Foundational Excellence
From the very beginning, my approach was holistic. In high school, I simultaneously explored every angle: DJ for the radio station, writer for the school paper, choir member, and stage crew for plays. This was deliberate—a dedication to understanding the power of audio, written word, performance, and technical production.
This pursuit intensified in my higher education. I attended three different acting schools to hone the performance craft while pursuing a rigorous academic path at Seton Hall University, studying Filmmaking, Writing for Media, and Broadcasting Law. Outside the classroom, I was actively working as a Production Assistant for The WB and KTU, and an Audience Recruiter for MTV. Being accepted into competitive programs, including the esteemed WPIX Broadcasting Seminar, confirmed my trajectory. My Business Partner Paul shares this comprehensive, deep-rooted entertainment background, ensuring our foundation is rock-solid.
Triumph, Evolution, and Impact
The launch of Talent & Skills was a natural evolution of this expertise. While initially focused on booking actors, we quickly adapted to our very first client—a fashion designer—and realized our mission was far grander: to be a full-service collaborative powerhouse. Today, we thrive on hosting, sponsoring, and promoting major events like Film Festivals, Fashion Shows, and Charity Events, leveraging technology like photo booths and drones to deliver unparalleled client service.
My professional journey was never easy, but that struggle was the genesis of my greatest strength: unyielding persistence. I overcame challenges by refusing to let others define my limits.
The essential lessons I want to share with the world are these:
• Never let anyone crush your dreams. Be your own greatest champion and practice what you preach.
• Master the craft. Commit to understanding every single aspect of your industry.
• Always keep learning. Growth is non-negotiable.
My Brand and Vision
What I want the world to know is that my team and I bring a powerful, diversified entertainment background and a deep commitment to social good. We don’t just put on events; we actively give back to our community, having hosted and sponsored numerous charity events. We also heavily promote diversity in our projects.
Overall, my story is proof that preparation, perseverance, and a strong sense of purpose are the catalysts for not just success, but for creating meaningful impact in the world.

The Power of Collaboration: A Gratitude Shout-Out
My journey as an Actor & Business Entrepreneur is far from a solo performance; it is a collaborative masterpiece, and I owe my success to an incredible cast of contributors.
First and foremost, I dedicate this recognition to God, whose guidance shapes my path. To my phenomenal parents: thank you for being the foundation. Your unwavering belief was tangible—from driving me to early choir practice to helping me secure my first car, ensuring I could chase every opportunity. You taught me that showing up is the first step to success.
I must also recognize the impact of my early mentors. To my dedicated acting teachers and the talented peers I’ve trained with: thank you for seeing my potential. Your mentorship helped me gain the confidence to overcome shyness and stand tall, proving that genuine talent and dedication matter far more than conventional molds.
The entrepreneurial adventure is made possible by my sharp Business Partner, Paul, for joining me in this exciting endeavor. A massive thank you also goes to our clients, who have trusted us and given us the opportunity to build and grow together.
Finally, a heartfelt shout-out to the incredible organizations that champion the arts and community: the International Film Festival Manhattan Team, especially Luis Pedron; the leadership of Jaycees JCI, especially Stevenson; The Set NYC, especially Pim; and the entire Talent & Skills Team.
