We had the good fortune of connecting with Giuseppe Salamone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Giuseppe, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
What is the saying…? The road to success is paved with failures…? For me, the road to success was not paved with failures, but it certainly wasn’t smooth pavement. The road has been long and bumpy, full of potholes and slippery when wet. The reason I’ve been able to overcome adversity is by being consistent, disciplined and patient. My natural inclination is to work harder when feeling overwhelmed, to feel satisfaction from my own accomplishments (no one celebrates you when you’re an entrepreneur just starting out), and to thrive in the chaos that defines entrepreneurship. It was by practicing these three principals I have been able to move towards my goals and grow the brand of my company. We live in a world of instant gratification, and I think most people would throw in the towel too early. Building something takes time, and if you approach each day as if you are laying a foundation for something bigger, eventually it pays off in a big way.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite restaurant has long been Yardbird on South Beach. It’s a southern food restaurant with a bourbon-based bar and high energy atmosphere. My favorite things on the menu are the chicken and waffles, deviled eggs, and fried green tomatoes. When I want to hang out, I go to South Pointe Park in South Beach to walk around and watch the ships move in and out of the harbor.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Early on in my journey, I met an entrepreneur from Australia named Sue-Ellen Watts, or as everyone calls her, Sel. Sel is the Founder of a successful Human Resources Consulting firm in Australia called Watts Next, and she came to the United States to realize her own dreams. We were neighbors at my offices in New York, and I began to work with her on a project which quickly turned into a mentorship. Her guidance through some exceedingly difficult times helped me to find the strength to keep going when I wanted to give up. She gave me advice based on her first-hand experiences and encouragement when I needed it. Having someone who I could relate to… who had “been there” was critical to my success. Another person who I credit my success to is my web developer, Daniel Moreno. Daniel and I met at an orientation day for the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. We chatted and set a time for a coffee date. To my surprise, he showed up with a full presentation of what changes needed to be made to my website. At the time, I could barely rub to nickels together but he worked with me to make the changes needed to improve my company’s visibility online. With the changes he made I saw a huge increase in inquiries and closed business. I credit a large part of my early growth to the work he did.
