We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacob Alcock and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jacob, how does your business help the community?
We help the community by giving people an opportunity to have the ultimate experience and memories when visiting miami. These are unforgettable and are priceless moments. we bring people together and create some of the most exciting encounters for our clients especially those that are interested in the car and boating world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
After first moving down to Miami almost 2 years ago, I was working for someone who had promised me and others the world and then turned his back, leaving me and many others in a new city with no bearings and for most of us no plan in sight. My current partner had the same experience and after we each parted ways from the old business we got together again as we always got along then we talked about luxx miami. for the first few months of me living in miami i was working a few different jobs while trying to grow the business that was not earning enough yet, and i was staying with coworkers. I always knew persistence would get the business to grow and even in new jersey where i came from before all of this i was always someone who wanted to work on growing something bigger than myself. Being able to sacrifice so much time to focus on your business is a hard thing to do but after almost 8 months of building out our platform it was finally gaining traction and clients were coming in at faster pace. At this point i saw it was not necessary to work somewhere else as well to support myself and quit everything else to focus full time on my own ventures. Here we are today having made many valuable connections and having done some major events for huge sponsors in Miami, from formula 1 events sponsored by AMG and IWC to private villa parties for various celebrities I could not be more proud of our growth and reputation getting to a point where these major entities can count on us with confidence.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend was coming to visit I would be determined to show them some of things that I believe make Miami what it is and what really impacts the major culture here, I would show them wynwood, south beach, komodo, cote, mary brickell village and some of the restaurants there like tacology. I would want them to see some of the artwork in wynwood as well as get to visit some of the clubs where we can visit a few different ones in one night around 24th street like pilos and dirty rabbit. I would show them lincoln road and also take them out on the water one day for a boat ride. There are also some beautiful areas i would go for example coconut grove and coral gables have some amazingly beautiful neighborhoods and shopping areas to visit.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My partner Clint who brought this business idea to me just over a year ago, he has been in the car world for over a decade and he is an expert in this field. He also have a few different ventures here in miami that would be great to write about
