We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Fain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, how do you think about risk?
Strategy://: take action! For me, I didn’t wait for ‘love’ to approach me at age 24…I solicited myself leaving a dental office one day.
I knew on paper what boxes needed to be checked, and so I left my number when I believed to have seen it.
That led to a partnership with my first and only husband whom I built a starter life with- marrying, buying our first home, having a child, and then ultimately an amicable divorce.
And so, because I delved in- took a risk- I built up equity in my livelihood… and came out a winner!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I first began dance at local dance Studios in the North Miami area and was accepted into the New World school of the arts in 1996 given the opportunity to study three disciplines. Musical theater consists of vocals, dance and theatrics. I got started in the film industry working as a casting assistant for a well-known, casting director in South Beach in the early 2000s and segued into becoming a fitness model essentially in exercise videos and dancing in films, made here in Miami and now I focus on leaving my legacy and teaching young children, the art of movement with ballet and jazz classes at a local dance studio, I also work individually with adults on an intelligent system. A method called Gyrotonic®️, where help people find expansion and length in between their bones.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of the most interesting parts of the land here in Miami is indeed the Homestead/ Redlands and the Everglades. I have been attending. in a Lakota ceremonial prayer group that meets on private land and we sweat in a lodge much like the Native Americans have done from times ago it’s alive and well And it is every month in Homestead. I would most definitely take a visitor to see the nature of this beautiful land.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have had many esteemed professionals work with me in the arts- but never one mentor. And so, as a passionate artist- it is the inner critic and drive that propels you your discipline(s). Is it fair to say, I would like to highlight myself for the drive and pursuit to always do what I love. Having faced defeat, perhaps even what we may call reverse minority; breaking into the Latin market as an All-American professional dancer in 2010. growing up in Miami, staying true and loyal to my hometown I’ve managed to work as an actor a personal trainer Children’s dance teacher and acquired abroad skill set within the arts and teaching from all the great mentorship that I had with access to arts and education
