We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Harmon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create unique items for people
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I create one of one Beaded Jewelry for all ages, I do Branding for other companies in the form of bracelets, keychains, & etc. Giving my clients the ability to have a design created just for them has allowed me to standout. I’ve been in the business for over 10 years & it wasn’t easy. Working full-time, being a mother, furthering my education, all while trying to grow my business. I learned to set time aside for my business & when life slowed down gave more time to it.
My Brand represents being an unique individual that loves to platy around with beautiful color palettes . My desire to make Jewelry was born from being a personal shopper & home decor designer for other.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely our downtown area & the Riverwalk. Being by the water is so peaceful & seeing all the changes Detroit has done would be nice to show my friend. The museums here would be on the list, of course a sports event depending on what season it is.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
