We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Radnay and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jennifer, how do you think about risk?
The times in my life that ive taken the biggest RISKS, have been when I was guided intuitively. It was not a decision based on just logic because I believe we can talk ourselves into and out of anything. The times i have made profound decisions, either personally or professionally was based on an overwhelming knowing that I must ‘Just Do It’ because the unknown of not trying would cause me more suffering than the risk of making a mistake. Ive learned that every life experience is an opportunity to learn something and for personal growth. This perspective take the focus off winning or loosing and places it back on to ‘does it bring you joy, fulfill your sense of purpose, create an opportunity for growth’? My word for 2022 is Possibility!
What should our readers know about your business?
Supporting Women during one of their most important life experiences, is truly a privilege and a blessing! I not only strive to cultivate a sacred experience for them in birth but consider our relationship and their pregnancy sacred as well. For me it’s not just a job, but a way of life and be-ing in my community. Everyday in some capacity i try to make a positive impact, whether it’s holding a motherhood circle, educational workshop, prenatal or mommy & yoga or a prenatal with a client, i show up in support of others in my community consistently. One of my favorite things is to watch friendships grow as expecting mothers make connections with other new mothers and become that network of care, trust & support for one another!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If i had a friend visiting me, my perfect day would be to start the day bySungazing & meditation, watching the sunrise on the beach then a yoga class at my favorite Shala Anuttara, followed by a juice or smoothie. We would then get dressed up pretty & visit some iconic Miami landmarks like Vizcaya Museum to stroll the Gardens and lunch at Joe’s Stone Crab. Depending on what special events are going on in the city we would then go see something special like the Van Gogh interactive exhibit or Superblue followed by a fun casual dinner in little Havana with mojito’s & some dancing!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
One of my best friends, mentors and coaches is Tina Lizzio. She is a fellow successful single mother of 3 who has been a source of unconditional love and support. Her attention to detail keeps me accountable and her fierce ability to communicate and coach has taught me so much about myself and reflect on who I strive to be. As someone who personally & professionally take on the role supporting others, i have so much gratitude to those around me that support me. It truly takes a community and mentors to inspire each other and hold us accountable to teaching the highest version of ourselves and to do it without judgement, just love !
