We had the good fortune of connecting with Jocelyn Ventura and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jocelyn, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
For me taking risks is what motivates me to get up day by day, since I think it is the engine of motivation
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
God has made us worthy of a great gift that is talents and each of us is distinguished by putting our talents and abilities into practice, I am proud to have a lot of creativity, perseverance, resilience and dedication in my passion when I am working. In a shoot, I think that distinguishes me, I am excited to see my clients pleased and dedicated to projecting themselves through a photograph.
Where I am now has been a long road full of obstacles, adventures, experiences, experiences that have shaped me and have led me by the hand, forming my character and my growth as a human being.
It has not been easy if they made me choose the difficult path again, I would do it again but valuing my talent and my profession, the challenges that I have overcome by rising every day firm in Faith, prayer and perseverance, educating myself, guiding me, seeking advice , coaching, reading, practicing, to keep up to date
The lessons that I have learned along the way, they have been my teachers, believe in my dreams, trust in myself and let the world know that we must believe in ourselves and in our dreams with a purpose through our talents in my brand, I want my photographs to communicate a story, continue to transform the personal brands of my clients and somehow leave a legacy captured through my passion.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the beaches of Port St Lucie, Jensen Beach, to eat in some restaurant near the beach facing the sea, One of the places that I like to visit in Florida is Clear Water, Dunedin, and Tarpon Springs for the best sunsets Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First a great recognition to God, then to my children who are the engine to move forward, personally I cannot fail to mention my sister Rhina Lara who has always been there to support me, my friends and mentors my friend Gheidy de la Cruz journalist who has always believed in my talent Jenna Levine my great friend who has always supported me unconditionally Joe colon my professional and personal mentor as a father with his advice, when I lived in Puerto Rico Faith James when I moved to Florida with her consultants and coach
