We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonevieve “Jen” Forte and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonevieve “Jen”, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I was hosting a vision board party with a few friends, which then led into a goal setting workshop. I wanted them to know how to actually set goals and pursue them rather than just having a fancy art project; cutting out pictures and pasting them on a board. The workshop was a success and I was asked if I could host it monthly to help to keep them accountable. Through our discussions and direct feedback to the information and exercises given to them; I quickly learnt what was effective and producing results.
After numerous requests for the material we used in our meetings. I realized that I was on to something I had something that people needed. I decided that I would turn the material into a book. I created a planner and sold them online. I started to provide one on one and group coaching for budding entrepreneurs who needed help with bringing their ideas to life. I grew a community of women who were chasing their goals and just needed a little help reaching them.

I figured out who my ideal client was and what they struggled with, their pain points and what they liked and disliked. Now I host both in person and virtual workshops, I have a stationery product line which serves as tools for these women including self-help books, planners, journals, calendars, notepads and more!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a coach to women who are working on their goals, passions and life purpose. I help them to create balance in their everyday lives and give them tools and strategies to live their lives more intentionally. My stationary line Jonevieve Forte Collection are the tools that equip the women I serve. My planners and calendars help with organization and bringing your ideas to life, and my prayer journals help with building a relationship with God and navigating seasons of hardships. My coaching style incorporates faith based principles and practical strategies. What sets me apart is that I truly believe that this was a calling on my life. I’ve always known that I was a light and people were always attracted to my light; and that I had the ability to shine light into dark places. I believe God is using me for a greater purpose and I’m just being obedient to His call.

Throughout my career, I’ve always been in placed in meaningful work. I’ve worked in college admissions, career services, staffing and recruiting helping others to move forward in life. I used my knowledge, skills, faith and experience and transferred them into self-help books and a business that helps to transform lives! I am relatable and I connect with the women I work with. I’m dedicated to help women with similar struggles move forward and go after their goals and navigate life with God by their side.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take her to eat at The Villa Casa Casuarina At The Former Versace Mansion

The next day we would probably take a day cruise like Miami Skyline Cruise of South Beach or Biscayne Bay.

We would hang out on South Beach

Go Shopping at Aventura Mall

Go fishing on the Florida Keys

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t have started this business without the women in my life group! They acted as a focus group without even knowing it. I want to thank these women for showing up monthly for trusting me and allowing me to pour into them. I want to thank my husband Kevin for always encouraging me to keep going even in the midst of my many challenges. My children Jaiyhir, Jeremiah and Kairo who always believed in me. My mom Marblet for always supporting me. I want to also acknowledge my destiny helpers Celine Parks- Lake my angel investor who made my stationary line possible, my bff Jacqueline Young for designing and bringing my first planner to life, Sally Ann Gray who helped to shine the spotlight on me which led to my first TV interview, Orlease King who gave me my first in person event featuring my self-help books and stationary collection, Min. Hildreth Stoddart- Brown and Min. Darlene Hord who gave me my first mentoring opportunity for a women’s Non-profit organization DOZ Women of destiny. Shoutout and many thanks for your continued support Nicole, Dwayne, Toni, my sister Tracey and all my supportive friends and family; and last but surely not least I give thanks to God for calling me into this role, giving me purpose and using me in such an influential way.
