We had the good fortune of connecting with Juliana Mejia, Camila Mejia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Juliana & Camila, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Shout out to our team! Our team and support system are what propels us to stay motivated and bring our vision to light. Working with the right community of people has contributed to our success significantly. Our mission is to offer sustainable solutions to both companies and consumers which welcome the transition towards a more conscious lifestyle. By aligning ourselves with the right people, we are able to transmit our mission effectively and focus on growing.
What should our readers know about your business?
According to a Forbes article, the majority of Generation Z (54 percent) state that they are willing to spend an incremental 10 percent or more on sustainable products, with 50 percent of Millennials saying the same. This compares to 34 percent of Generation X and 23 percent of Baby Boomers. It appears that with every generation, the quest for sustainability strengthens. As a team of young and passionate sisters, we recognize this situation, and we work to see sustainable and wellness-driven solutions in the world. We stay committed to growth and evolution as we welcome change with open arms. CADA is a creative agency and online platform that works one-on-one with clients to ensure their vision is brought to life to its fullest potential through a deep dive in customized strategy, holistic marketing consultation, and design process. What sets us apart is that we represent purpose-driven brands and conscious consumers. Our blogs and online platform provide guidance to individuals on their journey to those who wish to maintain or learn more about a sustainable lifestyle. We partner up with brands, places, and people that are aligned with our mission and maintain a holistic approach with their offerings. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’re huge foodies, but Camila is vegan, and Juliana is a pescatarian, so we’re pretty picky about our food. Luckily, Miami has so many great places that we love to love and are COVID-regulated. We recommend Uchi, Full Bloom, Thatch, Mister O1 Pizza, OL’DAYS, Habitat, MILA, dōma, elcielo, and Mandolin. For workouts, we love to do yoga at Sol Yoga Studio and pilates at JetSet. We suggest Wynwood, Miami Design District, and Miami Ironside for shopping strolls. For a day in nature, spend some time beaching it or visit Fairchild Tropical Gardens, Virginia Key Beach Park, or South Pointe Park.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Where to begin? So many people… We’d love to start by thanking our parents who left their comfortable lifestyle in Colombia with 3 young children to live and raise us in The United States in search of freedom, opportunities, and safety. They have demonstrated to us that through hard work and dedication, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. We were brought up with ethical values and a solid work ethic that we have maintained with their support, love, and encouragement. Next are our team, mentors, and coaches who have believed in our vision, and to this day continue to make it a reality. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for all the tremendous work of our contributor writers, contractors, and partners. Organizations and places like iFundWomen, The Mujerista, Minds Cowork, and the team at the Miami Design District are just a few who are also playing a pivotal role in our development. Last, but not least, we want to thank our clients, friends, and family for all their support, especially for believing in us throughout all the difficult and uncertain times.
