We had the good fortune of connecting with Kadina Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kadina, what inspires you?
I genuinely loved this question because it truly made me sit down here and think . I think I’m truly am inspired by the way I feel when I do something, if it sparks a light and feeling of joy in me then it motivates me to go explore it further and see what I can create out of it . Also the thought of giving back to my family and the community around me fills me up with so much inspiration to go out there and create a name for myself .

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is called Envymeshades, It’s a online boutique that sells sunglasses, I launched it May 28,2022 with 3 different color of shades that I really love and still use on a daily basis. They’re still available to purchase on my website & the first launch went great however, I now have my eye on the second launch..a possible rebrand I may say & that is what has me most excited and proud about my brand, the ability to expand . My first collection wasn’t the smoothest sailing and I don’t expect my second one to be either, there’s going to be things that Is out of your control sometimes but that’s when you learn how to pivot and to keep going

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So staying a week In Miami ? Ready to see why everyone flocks over here during winter and doesn’t leave when summer comes back around lol well here it’s so diverse in culture and cuisine, there’s always somewhere to explore that can be new to hang out at and to try different food and drinks . Looking for a great burger place ? I can not get enough of burgers & shakes, they have mini sliders to mahi mahi and the portion of fries ? Goes crazy every time . Want to do something outdoors ? If you come during their open season then you can not miss out Knaus berry farm
They’re famous for their cinnamon rolls and strawberry picking & last but not least if anyone comes to Miami they are visiting our beaches, it’s a cliche but no matter if you go during the day or night you can catch a vibe and beautiful view even as a local I love the fact that I’m 20-30 mins between at least 5 beaches !

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m not sure if I mentioned this but my mom and dad but really my mom, she deserves recognition because she gave me the bit of seed money that I needed to start buying my inventory so shout out to her !
