We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Kaylinda and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayla, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Authenticity- I’ve made it a point to be genuine no matter the situation. Showing up as my true self no matter the circumstance.Always making sure that my actions align with my purpose. Being true to who we are can get lost in the name of opportunity, however , I am confidently moving in my own lane and unapologetically doing so. As I meet people , clients , customers and expand my network , We are creating a beautiful connection based on truth and that’s what I love most about being and Entrepreneur and Entertainer. I don’t have to Pretend to be anyone else.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Music , Dance , Creative Expression is a part of my genetic make up. So I would say it began in the womb for me. I come from a family of dancers so the moment I could walk I was placed in dance classes. My family always supported and encouraged my growth as an artist which I am so grateful for. All the Classes,Programs,Perfomance Opportunities they allowed me to be a part of. The most important lesson I have learned along the way is that of confidence ! It can set 2 dancers apart doing the same exact choreography in the same exact costume, In the Same Room. You have to know who you are, what you are capable of and stand firmly in that. Don’t Compare – Be You!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Miami I am all for the Plant Based options as well as African & Caribbean cuisine. Definitely Savour Wynwood, LC’s Roti, Lorna’s, Norma’s , Mora Pizza , Nbati Icecream, Kings Patty, Planta, Coyo Taco, Holi Vegan Kitchen to name a few. Dancers love to dance so we would hit up Coyo Taco on Tuesday night for Rum and Bass. And any Pop up Dance Workshops at DCF or other studios during the week. Definitely the beach, Halouver if you down and take a nice boat ride To finish out the trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to Karizma Dancers! They welcomed me in with Open arms when I relocated to Miami a few years ago. A group of phenomenal dancer creatives working to develop their craft and always bringing the Energy! Based in Miami FL & NY.
