We had the good fortune of connecting with Kim Dady and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kim, what is the most important factor behind your success?

When I reflect on the journey that has brought me to where I am today, I realize that the most important factor behind my success is a deep desire to live authentically and to create a life that feels meaningful—not just for myself, but for my family and for the people I spend my life with. As a mother of three, I’ve always felt a profound responsibility to set an example for my children, to show them that it’s possible to pursue your dreams, even when the path isn’t clear or easy.

For many years, I worked in corporate America, balancing the demands of a fast-paced career with the joys and challenges of motherhood. While I was grateful for the stability and the opportunities that corporate world provided, I often felt like something was missing—a creative spark, a sense of purpose that went beyond the day-to-day grind. I craved an outlet where I could express myself, connect with others on a deeper level, and bring more beauty and LoVE into the world.

That longing became the fuel for my entrepreneurial journey. It wasn’t always easy—there were moments of doubt, fear, and exhaustion. But every time I saw the joy on a couple’s face, or received a heartfelt thank you from a client, I was reminded why I started. My children have been my greatest inspiration, pushing me to be brave, to keep going, and to believe in myself even when things felt impossible. Ultimately, my success comes from a place of LoVE, LoVE for my family, LoVE for creativity, and LoVE for the incredible people I get to work with every day.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Miami Proposals is so much more than just a business to me—it’s a living, breathing dream that has evolved and grown alongside me. The idea first took root as a simple concept: I wanted to offer “Marry Me” marquee letters to couples looking for a special way to propose. But as I started to explore the world of marriage proposals, I realized there was a real need for something more… a service that could help people create truly unforgettable moments as they took that monumental step towards forever.

What began as a small project quickly blossomed into a full-service marriage proposal planning company. Today, Miami Proposals is dedicated to helping couples plan, design, and execute the proposal of their dreams. We work closely with each client to understand their unique love story, their vision, and their hopes for the big moment. Our team is constantly researching trends, drawing inspiration from around the world, and pushing ourselves to come up with fresh, elegant, and personalized ideas that make every proposal feel one-of-a-kind.

The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. We’ve had to reinvent ourselves time and again, adapting to new trends, exploring new locations, and developing new designs to keep things exciting and relevant. But through it all, our mission has remained the same: to create more LoVE in the world. We want our clients to feel supported, excited, and at ease during what can be a nerve-wracking time. From the first brainstorming session to the moment they hear that all-important “yes,” we’re there every step of the way, making sure everything is perfect.

What truly sets us apart is the connection we build with our clients. We don’t just plan proposals, we become part of their family, their friends and their story. We celebrate with them, cheer them on, and often stay in touch long after the proposal, sometimes even getting to see their wedding photos and hear about the next chapters of their lives. It’s an incredible privilege, and it’s what makes all the hard work worthwhile.

 

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Miami is a city that’s bursting with life, color, and culture, and I absolutely love sharing it with friends and family who come to visit. If I had a friend in town, I’d want to give them a true taste of everything that makes this place so special. We’d start with some classic Miami beach days, soaking up the sun, feeling the sand between our toes, and maybe even renting a boat to explore the beautiful coastline from the water. There’s something magical about watching the sunset over the ocean, and I’d want them to experience that.

Food is a huge part of Miami’s identity, so we’d make it a point to try a different restaurant every day. From the rich flavors of Latin American and Peruvian cuisine to the comfort of Cuban and Venezuelan dishes, and of course, some of the best sushi you’ll find anywhere, there’s no shortage of incredible places to eat. I LoVE introducing people to hidden gems as well as iconic spots like CasaBlanca or Garcia’s, where you can enjoy fresh seafood right by the water.

No trip to Miami would be complete without exploring the city’s vibrant neighborhoods. We’d wander through Wynwood to admire the world-famous street art, check out the chic boutiques and galleries in the Design District, and visit some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. And since I’m a proud soccer mom, I’d definitely try to get us tickets to an Inter Miami game—it’s such a fun, energetic experience that really captures the spirit of the city.

Miami is a place where there’s always something new to discover, whether it’s a pop-up art exhibit, a live music performance, or just a quiet moment watching the waves. I LoVE sharing those experiences with the people I care about, and I always hope they leave feeling as inspired by this city as I am.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

There are so many people who have played a vital role in my journey, and I’m deeply grateful for each and every one of them. First and foremost, my family is my foundation. My children are my daily motivation—they remind me why I do what I do, and their LoVE and laughter keeps me grounded, even on the toughest days. My husband is my rock, my partner in every sense of the word. His unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in me have been essential, especially during moments of doubt or uncertainty.

I also want to honor my grandfather, who was a guiding light in my life. He always encouraged me to dream big, to embrace my creativity, and to never be afraid of taking risks. He taught me the importance of kindness, resilience, and staying true to myself, and his wisdom continues to inspire me every day.

Finally, there’s one person who has been a true mentor and friend throughout this journey. She believed in me and in Miami Proposals even when I struggled to believe in myself. Her courage, resilience, and generosity have taught me so much about what it means to be a leader and an entrepreneur. She’s pushed me to grow, to take chances, and to trust my instincts, and I’m forever grateful for her guidance and support.

Success is never a solo journey—it’s built on the LoVE, encouragement, and wisdom of the people who walk alongside us. I’m incredibly lucky to have such an amazing support system, and I hope to pay it forward by inspiring and uplifting others in the same way
