We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Mendelsohn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Hidden behind your biggest life problem is your passionate purpose. Align with your passion and your prosperity will emerge. My biggest life problem was seeking approval for accumulating wealth. Intuition was frowned upon in the household I grew up in. Money was worshipped. After working so hard to accumulate wealth, no matter how hard I fought to maintain it melted away. Apparently my intuition was guiding me elsewhere. Finally I learned. When you release your problem, you follow your passion to your true prosperity. As I did a new glorious career emerged as a Spirit Medium.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is psychically perceiving a soul on earth or in spirit. I see, hear and feel evidential insights which are channeled to the sitter. This helps sitters evolve to joy from healing to happiness. After many sittings I have finally come to know, not just believe, the universe is a fluid place of energy. It is easy to commandeer this energy by learning how to manage your thinking. Thought is the substance of matter. The most important thing I have learned in this journey from failed millionaire to flourishing medium is that we all have a soul plan for each life time. When we align with this plan, our miracles begin. We are led by a flow of Guidance, Opportunity and Destiny (GOD). My first book, “Soul Abudance,” explains this concept fully and how you can access it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visiting from another city I would take this friend first to a beach, any beach from Miami to West Palm Beach. Next I would want to share a restaurant at sunset. Florida’s sunsets are truly exceptional, like huge, fluffy, pink mountains of changing light. . Finally, as I am a Latin dancer, we would have to take my friend Latin dancing in Miami because some of the best Latin dancers in the world are there. This and a Mojito on South Beach would create quite a memory.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout is to my older sister. She encouraged me to follow my passion, as I agonized over the losses of the past and the uncertainty of the future. As well, I would like to acknowledge my mother for unconsciously grooming me on metaphysical and spiritual principles, as I grew up.
