We had the good fortune of connecting with Brie Whitehead and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brie, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Coffee Cake and Real Estate, is a unique concept for Real Estate. My father (CC&RE’s Broker) came up with the idea 40 years ago. The idea behind it is a friendly, comfortable experience you don’t typically get to feel when you enter a Real Estate office.
We are working to open our very first store in the next year in Brickell, Miami.
Would you feel comfortable coming into a Real Estate office which serves coffee, and baked goods, in a relaxing environment that feels as if you were having coffee in your home? We do.
Our office will have a business room, private offices in the back and a coffee shop in the front, tv’s will be all around showing homes, condos and land for sale on the market today.
Our hosts/servers will be able to answer any questions as they will have knowledge of the market and have their Real Estate License- so not only are they qualified to help, it’s not a pushy experience. We are simply providing a service for sellers and buyers to come in and discuss the possibilities of their situation with our staff. Unlike anything in Real Estate before, this will be the new way of doing business.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a previous Professional Tennis Professional, I played on the WTA tour for 4 years. I have traveled the world, seen many different cultures, and ways to live. I truly understand clients wants and needs when it comes to home buying. Which gives me a unique perspective as an agent to give advice, as well as I have an easy nature that allows me to get along with my clients in a friendly manner not in only a strict professional matter.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m in love with Brickell, Miami – I grew up in gated communities with homes that you didn’t have much interaction with neighbors. In Brickell I would recommend 4 buildings depending on what you’re looking for. Buildings I would recommend are: SLS LUX, Flatiron Brickell, Jade Brickell, and SLS Brickell. All have the availability to go to the best restaurants; just a few to name.. Lunch I would recommend Casa Tua in BCC (Brickell City Centre) our mall. Happy Hour, I love Little Brittany (a little beer garden in the heart of Brickell) Dinner would be tough because there are so many.. depending on what you want Brickell really has it all and its always good. As far as the people, it’s Miami people are characters.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This would be my father- Mark Whitehead. He is the Coffee Cake and Real Estate Broker, and he is the brains and idea behind the concept of Coffee Cake and Real Estate.
