We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Hofstatter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi lauren, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
By becoming a therapist, I’ve been able to learn how to become a better listener and I’m more understanding mother with my own children. I have 10 children ,eight girls two boys. While every child is different and they all have different needs, being a trained therapist has really helped me be able to try my best to accommodate everyone.

What should our readers know about your business?
I currently run a solo private practice, and I’m looking to hire other mental health professionals. So far, it has been a little bit challenging being that I am not super technologically savvy so I have had to reach out to other professionals to help me with that. The most important thing I would want the world to know about my brand or my story is that you can have it all , in moderation. I’ve been able to build the family that I really wanted and still build a huge career for myself. My number one thing is always being their mother, but I’ve always felt a need to have something for myself and my private practice has really fulfilled that need for me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly, if I had friend come in from out of town, it would probably be for a good reason like a family party or something to that extent so I wouldn’t really have a reason to take them somewhere. I am an orthodox Jew, so we do only eat Kosher. I would most likely take a good close friend to cool place in Miami or Bal Harbor area where there are a lot of good kosher restaurants.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The people that I wanted to dedicate my success to is my husband and my family. They have always been my biggest cheerleaders even when I felt down on myself they would tell me that I could keep going and do it and it’s gonna be OK. I would not be who I am without my family.
