Meet Lauren Paterni | Wardrobe Stylist and Creative Consulting

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Paterni and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, what do you attribute your success to?
Through wardrobe styling and fashion-forward visuals, I aim to help people feel confident, seen and at home in their own skin. For me, this is a success. My approach blends empathy, cultural awareness, and inclusivity to tell authentic stories through either personal style, visual ad campaigns and creative content. I believe fashion is more than clothing — it’s a visual language that celebrates your individuality and creativity.”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
After working in the industry for over 14 years, I have seen all sides of the fashion world and have faced many obstacles along the way. Yet, each one has only helped me grow. Especially while styling in Los Angeles, a fast pace and cut throat town. There, I worked with many top brands, celebrities and campaigns! I was fortunate enough to work with some of the best artists in the industry, which only fueled my passion even more. I simply overcame any obstacle in my way with determination! You will get a ton of “NO” in this industry, but you have to really fight for that one “YES”! So, I kept going and stayed focus on my passion for visual art. I stayed eager to learn, which is key! I took on every project I could. From unpaid, to paid, to assistant to main stylist! I was always reaching out to photographers, brands and other artists as well. I absolutely love what I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a beach girl…. from coast to coast, that’s where you’ll find me! Florida has some of the most beautiful beaches. I would treat my friend to a typical South Beach day. Grab some lunch at Call Me Gaby, hit up any flea markets along the way, walk around South Pointe and lay out with a cold beverage. Miami is so full of life and culture. It has such a great energy!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Nonna! As a young girl I remember her letting me pick out buttons and fabric for the items she was tailoring. She was a seamstress with such precision and skill. Her clients would bring in their designer pieces and ask her to customize them to their body. Here is where my my passion also started to grow. She taught me so much about fit and structure, quality material and timeless style. I not only learned from her, but it created a bond between generations passed down through time.
