We had the good fortune of connecting with Lexyl3x and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lexyl3x, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
I say many affirmations to myself on a daily but, my all-time favorite is “I AM LOVE” Love is the basis of all things, love for self, love for others, love for what you do! Saying I am love to myself grounds me and helps me to always do things that I love so that the love is always shown in everything that I do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Creating Purple Unicorn Productions is really something that I’ve wanted to do forever. I’ve always wanted to work in the entertainment industry but thought that I could only be the talent. I am now hosting, directing & producing my own content and I’ve never been happier! The Girl’s Chat podcast is really my baby at the moment. It’s so relatable because it’s real! It’s not “based on a true story” it’s 10+ years of true friendship! The chemistry is undeniable and we are funny as hell if I do say so myself! I feel like I am fresh into this whole thing! It’s weird because I’ve been in the entertainment industry for so long but always working for others so doing all of this on my own is really different. I’m grateful for all the people I have worked with because without those experiences I really wouldn’t know what the hell I was doing out here lol! I’m learning to take it all day by day! There’s really no magic pill to success, it’s all a process & it’s all about consistency.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a tough one! I am the definition of a homebody! We would def be going out to eat a lot! One of my fav pizza places in downtown Hollywood is Mauros so we would stop there! We would for sure be spending lots of time at the beach, I recently hung out with some folks from GA, and staying at a hotel on the beach was so exciting for them! We would absolutely have to have a boat day. I love that we can get on boats year-round here in SoFlo! Of course, I would take them to Tootsies and get some lobster. After all of this, I hope we would spend some time in my house because just thinking about doing all of these things in one week has me exhausted LOL!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Purple Unicorn Productions literally would not exist without my fantastic partner Christina (Chris)! She is the driving force behind all of this and I am beyond grateful for her and all that she does every single day! I also couldn’t do any of this without my homegirls. Chris & I created The Girls Chat podcast around my beautiful friends and our 10+ years of friendship! I am so blessed to have such a strong support system & to have my best friends by my side throughout this journey of entrepreneurship!
