Meet Lisaura Montilla | Content Creator & Architect

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisaura Montilla and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisaura, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
As an architect, creativity has always been part of my life, it’s how I see the world. I’ve always loved design, storytelling, and imagining how spaces can shape the way we live and connect. Over time, I found a way to combine my professional background with my passion for exploring Florida with my family and discovering new places. Through content creation, I bring those places to life, helping families visualize how they can connect, enjoy and truly experience a destination, all through a single video. It’s more than just showing a location; it’s about capturing emotions, moments, and memories. That’s what drives me creatively every day.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art lives in storytelling, capturing real-life moments and transforming them into something that inspires, informs, and connects. I see the world through both a creative and strategic lens. What sets me apart is how I bring places to life through experiences, especially for families. I don’t just show destinations . I help people imagine themselves there, connecting, laughing, exploring. That emotional connection is at the core of everything I create.
Getting to this point wasn’t easy. Balancing motherhood, my professional background, and the courage to build something of my own took time, resilience, and faith. I had to overcome self-doubt, learn how to navigate the digital world, and trust that my story had value. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that consistency and authenticity matter more than perfection. People connect with what’s real.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand “Aquiestamama” is that behind my work is a woman who shows up for her dreams, her family, and her community. I create with purpose: to show that it’s possible to build a meaningful life doing what you love, while staying true to who you are.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d take them to some of my favorite spots around South Florida. We’d start with a beach day in Miami, then catch the sunset at South Pointe Park while watching the cruise ships leave, and end the evening with a drink at a nice terrace with a great view.
Another day, we’d visit the Vizcaya Museum. it’s a hidden gem in the city and stop by The Girl Strawberry U-Pick and later enjoy the sunset at Maurice Gibb Memorial Park.
We’d have lunch at Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, then explore the Riverwalk, either walking or taking the Water Trolley.
We’d also go for breakfast at Yellow Fresh Market, take a walk along the iconic Ocean Drive, and wrap up the week exploring the art in Wynwood and dancing a little in Little Havana.
Honestly, one week wouldn’t be enough. South Florida has so many amazing places to discover!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without a doubt, my biggest shoutout goes to my three children. They are my daily inspiration and my greatest motivation. Everything I do, every idea, every step forward is fueled by the desire to be an example for them. I want them to grow up knowing that there are no limits to what they can dream and achieve.
That’s why my social media name is “Aquiestamama”, because I want them, and other families too, to always feel inspired by a mom who doesn’t give up and goes after her dreams. They are at the heart of everything I create.
I also want to give a special shoutout to my husband, who supports me unconditionally and constantly encourages me to believe in myself. His love and partnership make all the difference.
