We had the good fortune of connecting with Luisa-Fernanda Quiceno and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luisa-Fernanda, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
For me taking a risk is that there is a higher chance of failing than succeeding. Fortunately because of my parent’s support, I have been blessed with not having to risk too much. I am a very independent woman. Just like everyone else I have bills to pay so I can’t afford to jeopardize this. Back in the day I quit my 11am-8pm job to follow my passion. I have no regrets, I would do it all over again if I had to.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am proud of myself for never giving up. During this pandemic, it crossed my mind. But, instead I decided to use this time to be even more hungry for my goals. With my ambition, comes so many ideas. Sometimes it gets hard knowing where to start. But eventually I always figure it out. I am very excited for my upcoming projects. I am choosing to not comment, but God willing they will happen this year. Stay tuned. Challenges and adversity will always be a part of your path in life. The biggest challenge I have faced during this pandemic has been the lack of job opportunities available. Despite this, I have tried to stay focused and I continue to work hard. I would love people to know to always have faith in everything you do. Do everything with love. Block the outside noise and always be you.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my best friend to a brunch by the bay. Then, we would go to the beach or on a boat with a couple drinks (margaritas, mojitos). These are some of the things I enjoy to do on my leisure time. We would definitely do some parasailing. It would be such a great experience. With this pandemic, taking my best friend to a club does not come to mind. At my age, I rather have a nice dinner (sea food) instead of being hungover the next day.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give all the credit to my parents. They constantly inspire me and push me to be the best version of myself. Besides that I have always relied on myself to continue pursuing my dreams. That is what identifies me as Luisa-Fernanda.
