We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Parra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maria, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
I would love to continue inspiring others to become a healthier and stronger version of themselves throughout my career. With my personal brand that I am about to launch, Eat Your Best, my end goal is to impact thousands of people by providing them convenient nutrition solutions on a one-on-one or group basis to help them achieve their health, well-being, and performance goals through nutrition. I would also love to have a line of high-quality food products that will allow people to nourish their bodies adequately at different times of the day.
What should our readers know about your business?
At Eat Your Best, we will take the time to understand our clients’ needs. To do so, we not only take your nutritional goals into account but also your underlying medical conditions and specific requirements. Because you are all unique, we will work closely with each of our clients to make recommendations supporting your individual needs as ONE SIZE WILL NEVER FIT US ALL.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to the beach. I love the cleanness and tranquility of Crandon Park beach. A bike ride through Key Biscayne is something else I would recommend if they are up to that type of plan. I would take them to a walk and grab something to eat in areas like Wynwood, Design District, and Coral Gables. Last but not least, I will take them to a farm on Homestead to grab a delicious smoothie and sweet treat.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank all the great companies/ brands that have helped me to expand and strengthen my nutrition knowledge and skills by allowing me to work with them. I would also have to thank all the mentors that I have learned from throughout the years. My family, who have been the strongest backbone I have had since I started my journey in the health care world, and my husband, who has the vision to make Eat You Best a powerful tool that will impact thousands of people.
