We had the good fortune of connecting with Marsha Chamberlain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marsha, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
When I think about risks, I think about liabilities. In my business Flight33 or in my life, these liabilities can be foreseeable and unforeseeable problems. With my business Flight33, the foreseeable liabilities would be my expenditures such as my labels, quality, gas-deliveries, spillage, bottles, inventory etc. However, the unforeseeable liabilities would be wrinkled labels, defective tampered tops, broken bottles, etc. My goal is to prevent as many liabilities as I can to lessen the risk taken. Though, not all risk can be prevented. For example, I need supplies to produce Flight33. When I purchase the supplies, I run the risk of having more inventory then the demand if I don’t strategically order my supplies, look at my budget prior to the supplies being ordered, and gage how many products are being sold on a regular. Therefore, I must mitigate the risk before placing my order and reduce the liability.

Likewise, with my business, my life has foreseeable and unforeseeable liabilities. Leaving the house is a risk, investing in the stock market is a risk, investing in yourself is risk, and being in a relationship is a risk. It is important for me to take risk in my life. The bigger the risk the bigger the gain, but if the risk is small the loss will be small. Taking the risk in life is sometimes necessary, especially for growth to occur. I choose to leap out on faith and take the risk, because a risk can birth growth if it is in my favor or not in my favor. “If you build it they would come.” – Genesis 6-7

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I sell Flight33, which is a rum punch. I specialize in making and bottling the rum punch. Flight33 is known for its authentic Jamaican rum punch flavor. Many customers describe Flight33 as, “Something that tastes good! It is strong, yet smooth.” I am most excited about having a product that people have good things to say about. I feel proud when I receive positive feedback from my passengers. My slogan is Take a Drink! & Take Flight! My drink provides the opportunity for people to enhance sociability, enjoy the moment, and escape social restraints with a fruity flavor. What sets Flight33 apart from other rum punches is that you get the authentic Jamaican experience in a bottle. Rum punch is commonly made in someone’s kitchen and served at gatherings in a drink dispenser. However, my rum punch is bottled and can be bought at a consumer’s convenience. There are other bottled rum punches that you can purchase, but they are either harsh or they are difficult to find. As of right now, people can place an order by direct messaging me on Instagram or Facebook, or by calling me to place an order at 786-505-3046. A new flavor rum punch has been launched called “Tropi- Pine.” It is a tropical and pineapple sensational flavor. Flight33 is its own vibe!
