We had the good fortune of connecting with Marvin/Christian Scholz/Viera and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marvin/Christian, what makes you happy? Why?
I truly believe that genuine happiness is found in helping others. Making a positive impact in someone’s life is the purest form of happiness. No matter how small or insignificant it may be. Because ultimately that is all that matters. Helping the people around you means so much more to me than helping yourself. That is where I find my happiness. Whether that may be by giving advice, holding the door open for someone, helping someone out when they are in need, making another person smile.
Happiness is kindness. And when you understand that concept, everything else in life becomes secondary. To me, that is where happiness lies.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The Coffee Breakup podcast was created to “break up” your day with a small coffee break to discuss the ins-and-outs of dating and relationships. We have a no b.s. approach while also being fair with everyone’s point of view. There’s a reason why you believe what you believe… and that doesn’t make you wrong, but it may not make you right. It’s understanding that we all have different experiences and that’s what makes us ‘us’. THAT is what sets us apart.
We got here by believing in what we do. That is what drives us. Knowing that our experiences, or those of others, or even professional advice, can help just ONE person… means the world to us. Also, being extremely consistent and enjoying the process. We love what we create, but it’s definitely a bonus if others love it too. Trusting in that process will eventually get you the results you’re working toward.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely Miami Beach. How can you not? And if we can find someone with a boat… jackpot! If not, you can always stroll around South Beach or do some shopping on Lincoln Road. Make sure you get authentic Cuban food at Versailles. Perez Art Museum and Frost Art Museum is always a great experience, or you can even catch a great show at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
If you’re into the nightlife stuff, you can go just about anywhere on the beach, or even the Brickell, Wynwood, Downtown area, but you also can’t visit Miami and not do brunch. Bottomless brunch absolutely anywhere followed by a visit to the Wharf. The hangover will be temporary, but the memories… those are forever.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Christian: Shout-out goes to my business partner Marvin. Although I’ve been giving relationship advice for years, him mentioning me in his first book impacted me so much that it drove him and I to start the podcast to continue giving advice to those in need in hopes to impact them as well.
Marvin:I’m honored by Chris’ shout-out! He pushes me every day to become better. He truly is a catalyst for greatness. There’s no better way to put it. If there’s one person I have to give thanks to, it would be my beloved mother. She raised a man who’s not afraid to show emotions. A man that knows that real strength is found in vulnerability. I wouldn’t be who I am today, if it wasn’t for her unconditional love towards me. She’s my rock, my north star.
