We had the good fortune of connecting with Merle Liivand and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Merle, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
We are European company in Miami and US. That also means that we bring high quality knowledge from Europe. Our products are certified by french company called EcoCert. That means that Our product ingredients have to be listed . And that is already big diffrence. In America only 30 ingredients are banned. In Europe over 1300 ingredients have banned. This is the way how many cosmetic companies are not transparent with their brands.As a customer I think this is so needed because Every human should know what they putting in their body.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our Viking Beauty Secrets brand is one of the kind already on the sustainability side of it. We constantly work and find new techy ways how to have our skincare skin more Ocean Friendly than others. For example What makes us special in the US is that and as well that we are the FIRST company in the US who uses Volcanic Ash in our scrubs instead of microbeads. Everything that we do is to be innovative and strong in the Blue Beauty section! But it hasn’t been easy beacuse more and more miss information floats around the World and Educating people to really look into their skincare routine is hard challenge . But it is all worth it! I see how many people learn how to keep their skin young and rejuvenated . This is so important and on those days when You see how people bloom after using our products- then You know that all this hustle is worth it !

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
OCEAN for sure! I mean just being inside MIAMI and loving the vibe and buzz around the Ocean Spirit! That is hard to replace it! I truly love every single spot in Miami. My favorite is to crab a lunch in Lilikoi Organics or head to Good Healthy meal in Sunset Harbor or a Dinner in Barcelonita. Recently I have also Fell in love with the Wynwood area and their Gluten Free resturants. And how did I forgot to mention One Hotel- it feels like in TULUM when You go there. I just think that Miami and Ocean together with art and passion makes me feel happy in every corner. My friends always say- You never know when a MERMAID might walk by them- Beacuse I love to walk to different spots and enjoy all of it ! You can’t go by the day in Miami without enjoying the Nature present and Sunsets!
