We had the good fortune of connecting with Mira and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mira, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would like people to remember me as somebody that genuinely cares about others and that I did my best to uplift them through my creative process (whether that be by providing positive and colorful messages through my art, or by making people feel and look good in my fashion apparel).
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One thing that I believe helps my art stand out is the use of vibrant colors and positive affirmations that I write in my paintings. I want the world to know that my art is inspired by my spirituality above everything, as well as my time spent in Rome. I believe that I’m in the early stages of my career and have a long way to go and a lot to share/give to the world. It hasn’t been an easy process thus far, but a satisfying one! I’m currently juggling a full-time job as well as my art career full-time, it can feel overwhelming at times however this had taught me how to be more disciplined and focused.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was coming to visit me here in Miami I would take her to eat tacos at the Taco Stand in Wynwood, then we would walk around and check out the amazing murals. We would definitely hit up the beach over the weekend to people watch, Miami has some interesting people and I always find it a good time to see what’s going on around the city! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my family. friends, and co-workers who have supported me since day one, as well as the strangers near and far who have become my biggest supporters without even knowing me. Simple words of encouragement go far and have often times pushed me to stay focused on my vision.
