We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasha Benitez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natasha, what role has risk played in your life or career?
R I S K T A K I N G? Definitely one of my favorite things to do! I feel like a lot of us view “risk tasking” as negative and unwise, but I listened to my gut and here I am. Most women I know who have been successful in business, it’s because they’ve been willing to take on the risky challenge that other people would say, “Oh, I’m not sure I want to do that.” If you look at my career, I’ve taken on a lot of risky roles. I was at a point in my life where I was a second grade teacher and had just began planning parties as a “side gig” on the weekends. I took the risk of leaving a full salary behind, weekends to party with friends. It was my time to leave my comfort zone; time to go after what I was passionate about; and time to achieve my dreams.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Creativa + Co is dedicated to making your event dreams a reality through detailed planning that revolves around your wants and needs. We create elevated experiences in Miami that are unique to each individual. From weddings to birthday celebrations, our services ensure that your special moments will last a lifetime. What I believed sets me apart from others, is that i’m naturally driven by helping others and making the most important celebrations of their lives, exactly what they envision and as memorable and as smooth as possible. All of the hard-work and months dedicated of planning go into each and every event and always strives to go home at the end of the day with a happy heart knowing that she was able to bring her client’s vision a reality. All of those smiles in my client’s faces, is what really brings it all home and makes every moment worth it. Covid-19 really took a toll on many in the event industry. It hasn’t been easy adapting to new guidelines. We did a huge Mother’s Day and Father’s Day campaign along with Miami Writes Co. & Sweet Cravings by Nani which definitely took us out of our comfort zone, but we then realized the potential we have!
