Hi Natasha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One of the most important factors behind my success is that my goals always align with the community. The community is ultimately the consumers, and ensuring to provide products and services that align with the community needs is an important part of my success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
HD Screening and Laboratory is a pioneering force in workplace health, safety, and compliance, dedicated to transforming the underserved within the supply chain industries. What sets us apart is our holistic approach, combining regulatory compliance with health equity, education, and preventative care. Recognized in The Wall Street Journal and honored as Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year, we’ve also founded the Highway to Wellness: Trucker’s Health Summit, an event that unites industry leaders to prioritize employee health. These achievements reflect our commitment to creating meaningful change for workers and companies alike.

The journey to success has been challenging but rewarding. Building trust in an operationally driven industry requires persistence, adaptability, and a deep understanding of our clients’ needs. By forging partnerships with organizations like the African American Women’s Trucking Association and Truckstop, we’ve expanded our reach while advocating for better healthcare access. Along the way, we’ve learned that innovation, advocacy, and collaboration are essential to making an impact. Today, HD Screening and Laboratory stands as more than a compliance company, we are a catalyst for change, championing workforce health and safety while empowering businesses to thrive.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As an Atlanta-based professional, I would craft a week-long itinerary that blends the city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and diverse culinary scene, with a brief excursion to Miami for its unique offerings. In Atlanta, we’d start with visits to landmarks like the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, followed by lunch at iconic spots like Busy Bee Cafe or Ponce City Market. Afternoons would include strolls along the Atlanta BeltLine or visits to the Georgia Aquarium, while dinners at acclaimed restaurants like The Optimist and Gunshow would offer memorable culinary experiences. For art and nature lovers, stops at the High Museum of Art and the Atlanta Botanical Garden are musts, with meals at Bacchanalia and Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours rounding out the days.

Midweek, we’d transition to Miami to explore the vibrant Wynwood Walls, enjoy authentic Cuban cuisine at Versailles, and relax on South Beach. A visit to the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens would showcase Miami’s historical charm, while dinners at spots like Los Fuegos by Francis Mallmann would highlight its world-class dining scene. Returning to Atlanta, we’d close out the week with a visit to the Atlanta History Center and a classic meal at The Varsity, celebrating the perfect blend of tradition and innovation that makes both cities so unforgettable. This itinerary captures the essence of Atlanta’s Southern hospitality and Miami’s eclectic vibrancy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out my family. My husband, children, and parents played a pivotal role in helping me get this far. Juggling multiple hats is not easy and having a family that understands this is crucial to success.
