Meet Nayalee Pearl | Entrepreneur and community leader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nayalee Pearl and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nayalee, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my own business because I felt a deep calling to share the richness of my culture with the world. I had a vision , one where our traditions, our stories, and our flavors could be celebrated and experienced through food. For me, it was more than just opening a restaurant; it was about creating a space where culture comes alive, where every dish tells a story, and where people from all walks of life could feel the warmth, pride, and resilience of who we are. Sharing that light, that essence of our identity , was my purpose from the very beginning

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m the co-owner of Pearl of the Island Caribbean Restaurant, a cultural experience rooted in flavor, love, and legacy. Today, we proudly operate three restaurant and lounge locations along with a thriving event hall—each one serving as a tribute to Haitian culture and community.
What sets us apart is our mission: we don’t just serve food, we serve culture. I’m incredibly proud of the way we’ve been able to share the richness of Haiti with the world, welcoming people from all backgrounds to experience our traditions through every plate and every event. From the vibrant spices to the heartfelt hospitality, everything we do is a love letter to our roots.
Getting here wasn’t easy and I never expected it to be. But I’ve built my success on consistency, discipline, and a mindset of progress. Every day, I challenge myself to outwork yesterday’s version of me. I believe that for every problem, there’s always a solution you just have to be willing to face it with heart and strategy.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that if you’re doing this for the money, you won’t last. There will be tough days, quiet days, and days that test your faith. But when your why is rooted in purpose and passion, you keep going. That’s how you grow, how you overcome, and how you inspire.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know, it’s this: Haitian food is the best food in the entire world. If you haven’t experienced it, you’re truly missing out. We are bold, flavorful, and full of soul and so is our country. No matter what we face, Haiti will always rise.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First stop will always be pearl of the island for some good food, go to the beach, have a yacht day ,
Go to the ice-cream Miami museum . Definitely will go to the district mall in miami , spa day , Bunch at pearl lounge Hollywood on Sunday

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First shootout will always goes out to God and my community for support me always. But my success also has a lot to do with my business partner Wilton. He’s the first person that ever believes in me with no hesitation . And ever since we’ve been building businesses and dedicate our lives share our rich culture to the world
