Meet Paige Tucker | Author and Brand Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paige Tucker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paige, how do you think about risk?
I believe that taking positive risks is the key to success. When I was 25 years old, I was experiencing a quarter-life crisis. I remember speaking with my grandfather during the time I was having an emotional breakdown. The one thing he said was that while I had done so many great things in life, I didn’t take enough positive risks. He was absolutely right. I believed in coloring inside the lines, playing it safe, and following all of the rules. Shortly after that conversation, I took the leap and started my jewelry business. This was a huge step for me because I hated selling anything. I didn’t even like fundraising. I remember not having the money to invest, so I used a credit card.

Becoming an entrepreneur was the best risk that I could’ve ever taken. 2 weeks later, I left my part-time job because my jewelry business was generating more money than I could’ve imagined. Fast forward 4.5 years later, I have a successful career as a full-time business owner and a published author. Had I not started taking more positive risks, I probably would be very unhappy with my life. You never know what you are missing out on if you don’t push yourself outside of your comfort zone and take more risks.

Be Your Best You LLC, a business coaching and marketing consulting agency with a mission to help entrepreneurs and small businesses navigate their brands by helping them to Grow their businesses, Promote their brand identity, and Share their brand stories to attract their ideal clients. Be Your Best You, LLC accomplishes this goal by offering capacity-building services in the form of business coaching, digital media marketing, professional development training, and workshops.

Our specialty is our brand photoshoots. We love to help our clients tell their brand stories through pictures and videos. We take a unique approach where we couple coaching sessions with our photoshoots to ensure that we are helping clients showcase the best versions of their brands. We don’t just want our clients to take nice photos. Everything we do is intentional. Our clients receive a VIP experience including a makeup artist, creative director, stylist, photographer, and videographer. We take pictures that make it very evident of what our clients do in their businesses.

What sets us apart from others is that we are a one-stop-shop for our clients. While branding and marketing is our specialty, we also help clients do the following: generate business ideas, file LLCs, obtain EINs, complete a lean canvas, create capability statements, establish missions & visions, design logos, create a brand identity, write their brand stories, complete a marketing plan, build their websites, create content for social media, design & print marketing collateral, and help connect them to other professional resources. We help clients rebrand and host brand strategy sessions to help them to stay competitive in their industries.

I am most proud of all of the amazing work that my team and I have accomplished especially since opening the Breakthrough EXCELerator Training Center and Co-Workspace, a center where female entrepreneurs are able to pay a monthly membership fee to utilize the space and gain access to exclusive resources.

This journey has not been easy at all. My faith in God and my spiritual grounding have been what have helped me to sustain through all of the challenges of being an entrepreneur. The biggest lesson I have learned is to establish a solid team very early in the journey. In order to attain true success, You have to have people to help with the work and just to simply provide some support. This is not a one-person journey.

I want the world to know that while this journey has not been easy, I don’t take it for granted. I truly love helping people become the best versions of themselves and I believe it is why I was put here on Earth. I will continue to help people until the day I take my last breath.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Friday Night – Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grill at St. Pete Pier. The Yucatan Shrimp is a must-have Saturday Morning – A nice walk around Crescent Lake park in St. Petersburg, FL with breakfast at Grain & Berry on 4th St. Pete for a delicious acai bowl.

Saturday Afternoon – Lunch at Island Escape Grille in Pinellas Park, fl. Very delicious authentic Jamaican food. Everything on the menu is delicious.

Saturday Evening – Enjoy a night of laughter at Moore Eventful Event Hall in Pinellas Park, Fl. Great comedy shows are held monthly. Many enjoy drinks from Urban Drinkery and the Red Lady.

Sunday Morning – Start Sunday off with fellowship at Courageous Church in Tampa, Fl.

Sunday Brunch – Try the delicious Shrimp and Grits at Cask in Tampa. Parking can get a little crazy, so keep that in mind.

Sunday Evening – Spend the evening on Clearwater Beach. Watch the sunset on a sunset cruise with many restaurants to choose from for dinner.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my late Great Grandmother, Catherine Tucker and my Aunt, Theolanda Williamson. They have always believed in me and encouraged me to do anything that I put my mind to. If I told my great grandmother that  I was flying to the moon, she would say, ” you can do it”. I know she is so proud of me. My aunt is my biggest supporter for sure. She has attended every major event in my life and she is constantly promoting everything that I am doing. She really has been a driving force in my continued success. I can count on her to be there anytime I call and I don’t know what I would do without her. I am so thankful for her support on this journey.
