We had the good fortune of connecting with Patrick Portilla and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patrick, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success I have had within the past last has been because of my authenticity and beliefs. I have been fortunate enough to find something that I really enjoy doing and have the support around me to do it effectively. Success is something I believe is relative. All of us view success different. For me I want to make a difference and bring joy to others who have the same passions as I do and want to be a light to those who need a little shine. I love seeing people enjoy the things I have to offer. It’s what makes me who I am.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Honestly my career has to do a lot with the choices I made to become a content creator. I work in IT so a lot of the work I do is with computers. I wanted to get into editing so I went ahead and built my own computer. From there my journey started. It was pretty easy because I was familiar with premiere pro but the challenging part was getting used to being on camera. It was hard adjusting to that but slowly it became more natural. I had to remember to just be myself and let it flow. Right now my main focus is sneakers. I want to help others be successful in grabbing their favorite shoes for retail price.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am all about adventure so I would definitely love to take them to places they wouldn’t see anywhere else. I’ll take them to exclusive Miami spots such as brunch at honey uninhibited or at an amusement like bayside. Probably go skating which is one of my favorite things to do or even record a video together. I love being able to vlog and just capture the moment. It’s memories that will last a lifetime.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this to God because he has been the one who has made it clear to me what my passions are and how to execute. Also my boys for always motivating each other to do what we enjoy and doing our best in it.
