Meet Paul Fearon | Master Stylist and Image Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Fearon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

I have always wanted to start a business in the fashion, clothing, and styling industry. My love for clothes and coordinating outfits, which is essentially styling, along with frequently hearing compliments on how well I dressed, made me realize that I should create a business to share my expertise with a wider audience. This passion became the driving force behind the launch of Male Fashion Geek.”

Alright, so let’s jump right in! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there a person, group, organization, book, etc that you want to dedicate your shoutout to? Who else deserves a little credit and recognition in your story?

I would love to shout out Renee Dixon, Mashel Jackson, Shallamark Bailey, Valerie Rennalls and Charmaine Fearon.  These people have been there to encourage me, support me and pray for me consistently over the last few years. They’ve all believed in me and continue to do so.

Please tell us more about your business. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

The name of my business is Male Fashion Geek. Male Fashion Geek specializes in sophisticated men’s clothing. We also provide Styling Services and Image Consultation. What sets me apart from others is my attention to detail, my ability to color block and my creative ability to coordinate various outfits, be they formal, casual, streetwear or business attire. I’m most proud of the launch of my Male Fashion Geek clothing line and super excited of the impact the brand has garnered thus far. I got to where I am today business-wise as a result of the foundations I laid in building my brand. It wasn’t easy but with hard work, consistency, perseverance mixed with prayer I was able to overcome many challenges to get to this point. I have learnt that hard work, consistency and perseverance always pay off.  I want the world to know that I have an insatiable appetite and love for fashion & styling. The Male Fashion Geek brand is a true representation of who I am and vice versa. The brand  is fresh, stylish, detailed oriented and fashionable. My story is a true testament of the fact that you can achieve anything you desire or set your mind to once you believe and put in the work.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. In your view what are some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out?

If my best friend were visiting, I would ensure they had an unforgettable week. We would start with breakfast at a café and then head to Sawgrass Mills for shopping, followed by lunch in the area. For dinner, we’d enjoy waterfront dining in downtown Fort Lauderdale. We’d spend a day at Fort Lauderdale Beach, have lunch at a beachside eatery, and explore the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens before dining on Las Olas Boulevard. Another day would include a scenic boat tour, lunch at a trendy bistro, and bowling in the afternoon, capped with a fun games night with family. We’d enjoy dinner at a popular steakhouse on another evening. A day trip to Miami would feature South Beach and the Art Deco District, followed by a visit to Wynwood Walls, ending with dinner at a rooftop restaurant back in Fort Lauderdale. On Sunday, we’d attend church, enjoy a home-cooked Jamaican-style oxtail meal, get ice cream at Cold Stone, and top off the evening with live reggae music by a local band.
