We had the good fortune of connecting with Piervalerio Vignola and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Piervalerio, how do you think about risk?
Risk is a must! I see it as the willingness and vehicle to advance in life. I have had to take big risks to be where I am now. One of the reasons why not everyone is an entrepreneur, or successful, is because not everyone is willing to exit the comfort zone and push the boundaries. I see risk as a challenge towards myself. Can you achieve this? This triggers my motivation, intelligence and energy to get where I desire to be. I see risk as my companion for success, I embrace it and not I’m not afraid of it. Unfortunately, sometimes things don’t go as we expect, but at the end you just delete your old plan and restart again. I think that if I was able to do it once, I can do it as many times as I may need. I can be successful because nobody can take away my determination and resolve from me. All the material things come and go, but your mind and spirit will remain with you. I like to flow on the line of less resistance, sometimes I don’t know why I’m taking a particular path in my life, or I might think that it could be a stupid or risky decision, but, if unconsciously, I feel that there is a positive energy in it, then I don’t let the fear of my consciousness stop me. We react to things, many times because of fear, we act and react because of past experiences and comparisons. I like to not let the fear drive my decisions. I have the love and support of my family, the support of my partners and friends, I’m internally rich and the only limitation is lack of imagination. If you give to the world and the people, the universe will return everything back to you multiplied.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Starting your own company is never easy, especially when you have to rely to other professionals to get things done, and unfortunately, not everyone puts the same efforts and energy in their jobs. We struggled a lot to get all the permitting sorted to build our factory. I wanted to create something special and successful, and since cooking is my passion and health, wellness and fitness are at the core of my values, my business partner and I decided to open our own company, where we create Italian master pieces, such as pizza, arancini and much more. PIZZACINI is our joy and pride and we couldn’t be prouder of our creation. Our company has allowed us to connect our Italian culinary identity to Miami…in a way, it is the link that we needed to feel like we are still at home in Italy. We like simplicity, we think that today’s food is over processed, a lot of ingredients to create simple things. We want to be honest to our traditions, we want to deliver food products that let people travel with the imagination. Food that is good for your soul and your health, we only use prime Italian ingredients. Our pizza recipe has gone through over two years of testing and adjustments. Finally we have a recipe that uses only three ingredients, flour, water and salt. We do not add any artificial ingredient, we don’t use any preservatives. The yeast we use is made by ourselves, and believe it or not, is made just with flour and water; nothing else! We like to be in shape, we take care of our body, but at the same time we like the enjoy good food. We want that every one can experience what real pizza is, everyone should experience what means eating in Italy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are few places cool to visit in Florida. I would start with a walk at South Point Pier, to connect with the soul of Miami. The night life in Brickell is worth a visit. Then I would drive one day to Isla Morada, to enjoy a day on a boat fishing and then eat the caught of the day. I love adrenaline and parks, I would spend at least a two/three days in Orlando visiting the parks.

Wynwood is definitely a place to visit, grafiti, museums, there is plenty to do there. During the visit in Wynwood I would stop at one of my favorite’s Italian’s restaurants in the area, that serves traditional dishes from the Emilian-Romagnol cousine.
